Some random detail that I like; During the verses where Galeem and Dharkon reference their attacks on each other and the respective hands they control, Galeem always makes sure to refer to himself (“Do you not know the sting of *your god!?”* , “Do you not know *your master’s* firm hand!?”) like he’s reminding everyone that he’s the one in charge. Meanwhile, Dharkon only refers to the subjects as they are (“Do you not know the hammer *of god!?”* , “Do you not fear *insanity’s hand!?”* ), making it seem like he’s not seeking pure control, but more rather is a force that is pushing his power unto everyone.

One thing I loved about this fight is that if Galeem and Dharkon were to actually work together and see you as an actual threat, they could have easily won. The problem is that they let their hatred for each other get in the way, and they treated the fighters like a minor nuisance. I just want to point out that, despite being both evil, the two have a different attitude towards the player: Galeem is more calm, soft-spoken and has a soothing and high-pitched voice, not loosing his cool even when openly insulting the heroes (Mindless fools!...) and getting angry just when the characters still stands in the way, like if he is trying to convince the heroes that he is doing what's right for the universe, attempting to keep a kind and benevolent facade. On the other hand, Darkhon is not even trying, stright-up saying that he whants to destroy everything and is arrogant and self-absorbed, seemingly reveling in his evilness, as when claiming that he whants to be "called a beast" and is costantly shouting in a bombastic, boisterous way. They rapresents two different portrays of evil: Darkhon is the obvious, bad-to-the-core villain who is blatant in his goal and lack of good qualities, and Galeem is the most dangerous type of villany: The one that does not see itself as evil in anyway, firmly thinks that its ideals and actions are right despite being here so much evidence that it is not. The actually evil in reality and not, wich is adamant into the beliving that THEY are the good guys and who tryes to stop them and their madness is the "evil" villain Good job as Always, Dudes

So in other words Dharkon is the Litch from Adventure Time while Galeem is Thanos from Marvel. Tbh i dont think Galeem comes off as someone who necesarily thinks his right. His comments like 'Mindless Fools, do you not know your masters firm hand?' 'Do you not know the Sting of your god?' Both of those make it sound like Galeem thinks himself as High and Mighty and Humans as more or less insects whos only purpose is to worship him as a god. And galeem saying 'Your god' also seems to point at Galeem thinking of himself as the god of Humanity or the only god who should be worshiped. Galeem is like a narcisistic Prince while Dharkon is a Warlord.

I think the chorus and the latin part are sung by them AND the fighters. They sing them as mocking them and their efforts to beat them only for them to defeat and rule them anyways afterwards (in the bad endings) while the fighters do it as showing their hopes and united battle for freedom

I am so happy that this was the song to be given the full treatment. I love the contrast between Galeem and Dharkon which makes sense. They are beings that represent absolute light and dark respectfully, though I like Galeem more with the whole "light is not good" trope. All they care about is reshaping the world that fits with their ideals and destorying the other that opposes them. Little did they know that the ones who would ultimately bring them down were the same beings they wanted to control. Amazing work as always.

This was an awesome way to start the year. I’d been hoping for a full version ever since the Songtober version dropped. I think the best part is the inclusion of some of the lyrics from Brawl’s intro, it was so unexpected yet makes perfect sense. Small game theory Dharkon and Galeem both represent the two forces of the universe, dark matter and gravity, if you defeat just Galeem, we see the fighters die, and the universe go dark, symbolizing the Big Rip, where dark matter actually grows stronger over time, slowly putting more space in between smaller and smaller area, while if you defeat Dharkon, you can see Galeem turn the universe to light, like during the Big Crunch, where gravity wins over dark matter and its slowly starts to implode, everything gets closer together and gets hotter and brighter, while if you defeat both nothing happens, you save the universe, the power of dark matter stays the same and the universe just dies once more
