I just realized. At the time, _EVERY_ legendary Pokémon was in Melee. Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh. Even Mew and Celebi were there too.

I just realized that the Smash series has PokéBall Pokémon from different generations: SSB64 - Generation 1 (Red, Blue & Yellow) SSBM - Generation 2 (Gold, Silver & Crystal) SSBB - Generation 3 (Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald) and Generation 4 (Diamond, Pearl & Platinum) SSB4 - Generation 5 (Black & White & Black 2 & White 2) and Generation 6 (X & Y) SSBU - Generation 7 (Sun & Moon and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon)

Watching this makes me feel nostalgic...I loved seeing all these guys when first getting into Melee in 2005. My favorite summon is Zapdos. His ThunderShock move does tons of damage. Articuno, Moltres, Ho-oh, Entei, Raikou, and especially Lugia wasn't shabby either. Porygon2 is so OP. I love it.

I think Lugia was the BEST Pokemon you could summon That aeroblast was a 1 hit KO, plus if you made contact with its wings, it would trap you and KO you

I've noticed that the models for the Pokémon used in Super Smash Bros Melee (the one's that come out of the Pokéballs) are the same Pokémon character models used in Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2 for N64.

If Smash Bros game makers hypothetically had to make Wobbuffet a playable character, what would its likely moves be? Counter and Mirror Coat for sure. I'm asking because Wobbuffet only attacks _though_ others' attacks. So yeah, think about, say, its Neutral attack, Forward Smash, or Down tilt. If the patient Pokemon doesn't directly strike, then what would it do instead if the player pushed the buttons that make _other_ characters strike?

Brawl continued this trend with the Gen 3 and 4 Pokemon, pulling their models from Colosseum/XD and Battle Revolution respectively; though by the time Smash 4 was made, they made original models for both the newer Pokemon and the returning veterans.
