Hey, pals. Behold the latest animated installment to the ongoing Super Smash Wars series. Episode 8, by far, has been my most requested video ever, despite my ... let us say ... diminishing emotional investment in the sequels. While I may not have been the biggest fan of Episodes 8 and 9, I know that plenty of you enjoyed them, and I just couldn't bring myself to end the series and leave you hanging. I was gonna say, WHY DID YOU SWITCH THE ORIGINAL OLD LINK DESIGN?! IT WAS AMAZING! But then you used it for The vision of Link in his prime on Crait, which was an excellent choice: it honestly fit it much better. Oh, and the criticism parts made me laugh SO. HARD. I was DYING. 😂 That, coupled with your usual plethora of references, awesome animation, and character designs made this one hell of a treat. And Isabelle as Rose made waaay too much sense. As a fan of Episode 8 I just have to say: this was amazing! Pleia flying back to the ship via a series of rings was an inspired touch. And if possible, Old Man Link was even more grouchy than his movie counterpart. Kylo continues to be portrayed 100% accurately as well, I see. :D Thanks for putting in the effort, even if you don't love this movie like your other projects!

I remember watching the actual episode 8 for the first time, and imagining how this version would have to go. Such as "Oh dear, Pit Damien is going to be in trouble" and such. I did think Isabelle was a cute choice for Rose, and you definitely put in a lot of work. It was a fun watch, even if I didn't really like the actual movie.

In regards to Holdo, Holdo's character wasnt the best. But she was in the right, imo. Leia's last command was demoting Poe, and Holdo didnt have to divulge any info. For all the resistance knew, they had a spy (since at they time they didnt know first order had hyperspace tracking), and as i just said, Leia's last order was demoting Poe, so she had reason to suspect him, so Holdo was making the right call. But since we're seeing it from POE'S perspective, we think she's some sort of idiot. Could it have been handled differently? Yes. But does it make logical sense? Also yes.

Even as a Last Jedi fan, I was fairly amused by the very 'subtle' signs throughout this video that you weren't exactly a big fan. Still, I have to really appreciate that you still choose to make the cool parts as cool as they deserve! (I mean, you managed to make Ghostbusters 2016 into a neat-seeming video game, so The Last Hero would've had to be cool.) I have a feeling that your opinion on The Rise of Skywalker might be similar to yours on this film, but I'm still mighty excited to see what you do with it. Not only do I rather enjoy it as a closing to this saga, but it has so many action setpieces that I imagine you'll end up having to split it into two parts just to get all the best bits.

@@ticoliro3392 are you refering to the prequels? the sequel trilogy is far worse than the prequels. directers seemed to go in without a plot direction, ep7 was a rehash of ANH... ep8 went off the rails in an effort to subvert our expectations, and discarded established character traits for O.C. fan fiction that rian wanted. ep9 was all over the place plot wise, pacing absolutely sucked, palpatine seemed almost thrown onto the movie to save it... and the explanation for his return? NOT A SINGLE THING is said in the movie other than he returned... somehow... after the deathstar blowing up WITH HIM ON IT. also... the massive inconsistant plot holes in that movie. you could tell it was rushed in the reshoots... which makes me wonder if the original shots were better or far worse than what we got.... all in all, ive grown to appreciate the prequels alot. the acting needed better direction at times... and lucas did make it focused far more on the politics and dialogue and stuff... but it had a direction. it had a goal. it entertained. it respected the history of the franchise (except midichlorians. screw that stuff.) so... all in all, disney could have done us fans right and delivered a quality product. but they failed... they failed us. and the prequels are better by far in comparison to the sequels... sincerely- an original trilogy fan that doesnt like the prequels.
