The throttle cut-out is a common issue on hubmotor supersocos. It's the overspeed protection, basically if the bike starts moving faster than what the throttle is asking, it cuts the throttle for 2-3 seconds. This can happen when going down hill, when rolling off the throttle, or even when trying to hold a steady speed on flat road. They fixed this with a firmware patch, you can also avoid it by completely releasing the throttle whenever you can feel the motor isn't actively pushing you.
@konjiibudale1986Ай бұрын
you can turn that off better e scooter by niw has sport mode aswell as eco mode, this what you talked about in your comment. When you feel your throttle is cutted for sure you will see the little eco sign on the display, you then have to hold ride button 10 seconds, let it go and then press again, and you are in sport mode! 😀 holding the ready button, releasing and pressing must be while driving to switch modes but do not worry your scooter is not going to turn off👌

What are those gloves? I've noticed that you have been wearing them in a few videos now. Great content as usual mate, not only did your old videos get me into riding 6 years ago, now I have a NC750 and a HD 48, but I've also caught the engineering bug from you and now at 26 years old I'm back in college doing a engineering degree to become a CAP engineer. We will ride together soon, I need to thank you for everything you have done for me. Not to mention the hilarious Q&A's with the "NO-SPICE" power couple. 😅🇬🇧🤘👍

I'm interested in knowing if something like this would be up for my town-to-town commute. 20miles each way, each day. Only the first and last mile are urban, the rest are all fast, flowing single carriageway 60mph A'road. And I would be at or near max speed for almost the whole journey. I don't have charging available at work either. + can you fit heated grips to a leccy bike?

Something that crossed my mind watching the video. If you can run it with a single battery does the weight saving with it actually extend the range a little? So if it’s a claimed 80 miles with both in the bike then does it get say 42 miles for each battery running just one at a time? I think the whole standardised batteries (with the bike being cheaper and the road tax contributing to the “hire” fee of the batteries) might be the saving grace of electric motorcycles at least. So you pull up at the fuel station, put yours in a charging station and take a charged one and pay for the “fuel”.

Nice! I've been impressed with both of these electric scoots, seen a few negative reviews for other super soco's on long term use though. But overall these both seem nice. Have you seen the Sondors Metacycle, & will you be able to do a review maybe when/if it's available here in UK? It has a $5,000 price tag & states 80mph with 80x miles range... & looks beautiful.

I think Electric scooters are brilliant but the battery cost is still silly. to buy a replacement is £1850 for this bike...I owned a 125 for 3 years and didn't come close to spending that much in fuel and insurance and servicing combined. I would be very interested to hear how long these batteries last because that price for a replacement battery will kill the second hand market
@coast2coast003 жыл бұрын
I would guess 500k+ miles with 75%+ range. Assuming they use good batteries, and don't run them too hard, they should last longer than passively cooled car batteries (nissan leaf). Assuming the batteries are not DRM protected somehow, you should be able to bui;d your own battery or buy a custom one from an ebike battery shop for a reasonable price.
@pcat13783 жыл бұрын
@@coast2coast00 I very much doubt 500k plus....but would rather stick with facts over opinions

Sorry I replied and then realized you didn't mean wiring in the extra one. Yes 100% you could carry an extra and swap it over. Only thing is having that much weight that high up and that far back will affect the handling.
