Great video. Very clear and informative. You will need to be creative (adapters) to get all spools to fit. It seems you covered almost every base except the option for foot pedal. (It will only work with corded drill.) Low rpm drill (most recommended) with lock. Even thought it is at highest rpm when trigger locked, the drill is plugged to the pedal so variable adjustment is now controlled by pedal. Doing the same duty as the router control but now foot taking control and both hands free. Linemaster Classic 77SN7A and their budget plastic pedal were commonly used but both discontinued. Lucas lowboy 9 is the best option and still available. It is being used by the tackle shops here with rectified DC motors. Lucas lowboy 9 is AC variable and works with most corded drills without a problem.

South Chatam has a pedal too - but it wasn't compatible with variable speed drills. I already had the router controller and the mixing drill so I was trying to not spend needlessly - but you're right I should have mentioned the option in the video. Thank you for the comments and for watching.

@@4RibsFishing 👍 unfortunately , the prices of the foot pedals has also increased significantly in the past few years. Tight lines

Hola pregunta como se llama el soporte que sostiene el carrete solo el soporte nada mas
@4RibsFishing7 ай бұрын
It's part of the 'Reel Winder' - but it's typically called the reel seat.

How accurate is the digital line counter?
@4RibsFishing2 жыл бұрын
I measured 75’ of line with a big tape measure and the digital gauge was off by a couple inches. Close enough for me.

Can you still recommend this spooler ? thanks

Yes King I would. But you need the right kind of drill to power it.

@@4RibsFishing How many pounds of tension / drag can be applied on the spool end ?
@4RibsFishing Жыл бұрын
@@kingdavid2684 I'm not sure exactly, since there is no gauge for that. You apply tension with a wrench on a bolt, so I would say it can be tight enough for a big offshore reel.
