I like this version of Ryu's theme a lot, but I hate how it makes it so that this is played instead of Gouken's theme in Versus matches. Same goes for Akuma, too.

I imagine Ryu is about to lose the fight, then all of a sudden finds a surge of power he never felt before. Right before Gouken delivers the final blow, Ryu fires up the biggest, most emotional driven charged fireball of his life... HAAAAAAAAADOOOOOOOOOOO... (in his mind) "forgive me master..." KEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!! With Ryu's eyes glowing white and water eyed with fierce emotion, he gives it all he got. Gouken attempts to block but is overwhelmed. He is defeated, yet proud.
