Focus more on writing and speaking. Do not write in bullet points rather write in an expressive way and do not repeat the same words as you will be judged based on vocabulary as well.

Because the test scoring method is changed after July 1st, 2024. The Duolingo English Test reports individual subscores (speaking, writing, reading, and listening) along with integrated subscores (literacy, comprehension, conversation, and production). I have the same problem my friend had 110 points in April and I now have 100 including the same 110 literacy, 95 comprehension, 95 conversation and 110 production points that my friend had and could have been 110 with the past grading system

Hi teacher Luke, I just went through the real test. During the test I had to retake it 3 times since there were issues with my speakers and connection. Thus, I only had the last chance to retake it and it was this one. During the test while I did the speaking section, I kind of looked on the top but immediately looked at the camera again as it’s my natural habit when I want to get the ideas to speak. Just wonder if it would lead me to disqualification or not. I will wait since I purchased the x4 pack to get the result within 12 hours. Wish me luck for my desire score at 120+

I tried the det practice platform you offer teacher Luke, and doing the read and select, many words I know are English were listed as fake and I double checked with the dictionary and they were also there, so do we just go with what we know or is there a reason gropes, thralled, cunned, and sans are considered fake?

Hello! I am a grade 8 student and I have to take DET for my ADA high school application. I took a practise text and I got a score of 120- 130. Thr criteria for the application is 85+ score. I am planning to take the DET this month since i have a lot of other tutors and musical school that take a lot of time too. Maybe in a few days.
