No. I would recommend aiming for 120 - 130 on the practice test if you want to be confident that you get 115 on the real test.

I want to tell you one challenge I am facing in DET. I took DET in 2022 and got 110 overall without too much preparation. Now I am supposed to get 120 overall to get a PhD position in the USA. My problem is that when I take practice tests using my old account, I can only get 110-125 range. However, when I use a new account, I am repeatedly getting 130-140, and I am shocked. Is there any algorithm that is keeping me from getting a higher score? If so, can I use a new account to take a test?

That is very strange. I don't know why that would be, but it sounds like it is a bug with Duolingo's systems. As far as I know, you cannot have multiple accounts inside of Duolingo. However, you may be able to ask Duolingo to delete your old account and just use the new one. You can contact Duolingo at [e-mail]

This is may be due to blurred camera or reflection of light through camera. Make sure visibility of your I'd through camera or sit in proper lighted room.

This is very helpful advice. Passports have shiny pages which means that it can be difficult to get a clear photo of them. Like @rampalpunia3370 said, I would using extra lamps and adjusting the light in the room where you are taking the test to make sure that the camera can clearly see all of your ID or passport.

While I am taking the Duolingo practice test, I always get a score between 85 and 95. However, I need a minimum of 120. So, why do I continually get this score? What can I do to improve my score?

Hello! If you are stuck at that score it means two things: 1. You are making the same grammar mistakes over and over. I would recommend getting credits in Arno so that you can get feedback on your writing and speaking responses. Be sure to really study the feedback, understand your mistakes, and then in future responses, really work to avoid those mistakes. As you are practicing, you don't always need to use the timer. It's better to give yourself time to think about the correct way to write something so that you can learn the concept. Then, you can worry about speed. 2. You are not expanding your vocabulary. You should use Arno's Vocabulary Builder. You can save words as flashcards so that you can study them later. Alternatively, you can use a notebook and write down words and their meanings/translations by hand.

That's quite a high score already! The higher your score is, the harder it is to increase it more. Above 135, you will need to have very few grammar mistakes in your writing and speaking. You will also need to be sure to write enough for each question (you can see the recommended minimums on each practice question inside of Arno). I would also recommend spending more time reading well-written English, for example the BBC News. You will need to pick up advanced vocabulary and idioms that will elevate your English to an even more advanced level.

Hello! To improve your typing, you should check out typing.com. They have lots of free exercises. To get ideas for writing and speaking questions, I would recommend doing practice questions in Arno. In Arno, you can see other people's answers to get inspiration for your own responses. We also assign a topic to each question so that you can be sure to practice questions about all of the topics that you could be asked about on the test. Hi Arno, I’ve written duolingo English test 3 times but my results could not be certified, And today I’ve received result it comes by stating During the speaking section, it was evident you were reading a response that had been written out. This is not permitted. Your response cannot be prepared in any way and must be candid in order to receive a certified result. You must test again. In first 2 attempts It stated You looked away from the screen for an extended period of time. Can you please suggest me what should I do to ensure my test results is certified.

Hello! Unfortunately, the issues you are encountering a very common. Firstly, you definitely should not read out a written response or recite a memorized response.
