So basically I go for a Guruma in my mind and depending on the uke's height or other factors I land either a O Guruma or a Ashi Guruma?

Since the set up and kuzushi is the same, I would mentally prepare to do one or the other depending on which you prefer. But in the end if you wanted to do Ashi garoma and it turned out it was more of an O Garuma as long as you get the throw, who cares ?
