Taking the time to just thank you guys for the support on this channel. Looking for ways to do these types of videos on a variety of yachts and see if we can make this KZbin channel more of a full time thing. A reminder... I have close to 30 videos to release of daily life on board this yacht. Coming soon!

This guy is very cute and energetic. He speaks clear and well in his videos. He's has a certain quality of charm about his relating his experience . Would still like to see more of the actual yachts interiors he's caring for . maybe it be nice to have a short audio of his relation to other crew and maybe primary charter guest if allowed. Overall good view

I wish your crew cabin had a larger port hole. The most likely fire starts in the galley. The captain of Bonaire ordered all ports to be large enough to escape thru. After witnessing a yacht go down with all the crew trapped in the forward section (night time galley fire) in Baha, Mexico. keep a small chain saw in your cabin for emergency exit!

I live in the States and my job is driving a chemical tanker through out the US and Canada. My work area and living quarters are about the size of your cabin, although I don’t have a shower or head. I have stayed out on the road for up to 4 months before taking time off to be home, so I know how you feel. Good luck on your next adventure .

Hey Jared, really enjoying your videos. I have a request if possible. Can you do a video around the garage/tender area? I've always been obsessed with how these large yachts have mini garages and it is one of my favorite parts when checking them out. Unfortunately, I appear to be in the minority because most pictures/videos barely feature them. Barring any privacy concerns, could you possibly focus on this part, as well as the tender launch and recovery?
@jaredwatney
@jaredwatney 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Eric. Thank you so much for the compliment. With the video series coming up, I have quite a lot of footage with the garage being shown. I wont lie, we dont have a lot of toys in board. The owner is an older guy so toys arnt a priority. That being said, I will make sure I talk a bit on the garage.

Hi Jared, Although you do not have the biggest (cabin). I've actually been on new builds out of 2017 and 2018 about this size (30-40m) which have far - not kidding - far smaller crew areas. From my experience the cabins actually don't always increase in size when the yacht increases in size, it really depends on the owner/designer of the yacht. Keep up the vlogs, love it! If you are ever (dry)docked in the Netherlands, give me a shout if you need anything!

Reminds me of a hotel room I once rented in the Latin Quarter of Paris. I had to be careful moving in the shower so as not to turn the water full hot or full cold, and if I had to take a leak, the toilet was only half a step away, and I could pee into it from the shower without splashing on the floor.

You have x number of days left you said. Then what happens where do you go? Do you contract for a season or few months. How many crew? Who cooks?

I have that book! It's really good! It's called "Mine's Bigger" by David Kaplan. Worth the read.

Well, the whole bunk bed situation sucks. However, when my wife and I were stationed together in the Air Force and were doing a lot of Temporary duty at other bases we had to get creative.

Ye bunks always suck when you are a couple. Anyway, small sacrifice.

its really small! I had been in a boat, with horrible owners and horrible crew haha, and the only good thing, was the crew area with quite big cabins, beds were big and enough space to keep your things. Locker was big with 3 drawers and more space on the top, as well as a small desk. Then the batroom was separated in 2, the bathroom has a huge locker and then, the shower even had a seat to shower comfortable. The officers cabin were even bigger and crew area was below, with all 6 cabins together. Crew laundry was there and totally separated from guests laundry. Then crew mess was big as well. So far, was the best crew accomodations I knew. that was the only good thing...

Ever see a WWII destroyer crew quarters? Still, very tight quarters, you make your point. Yacht designers please take note.

Looks pretty standard. It might do some of the charter guests good to spend 48 hours in your quarters!

Universally _white_ -- brave or a challenge... _I just had a positively brilliant idea:_ Affix an ultra wide angle lens to your camera (if it can accept replaceable lenses). This will make any space seem palatial. You on your 500 meter yacht....
