The first player that comes to mind with the green and yellow top is Cantona. The blue and white makes me think of Pallister. The vodafone one that reminded them of Van Nistelrooy and Veron was the same for me but also Beckham. The champions league one made me think of Beckham and Solskjaer.

that's because the 3 of them are also Utd fans who think the same. Also, the players they mentioned in those kits did special things and were pictured/on the telly doing them in those kits. May - scored a rare goal vs Boro away to win the title. Eric - volley against Wimbledon in the FA Cup. Sharpe - 2 goals on a televised game against Villa who were challenging us for the title etc, etc......... I'm not saying you are or them are easily influenced by the the media but..................
