They already did that, actually. The first time he appears he flat out tells Rhys that he will murder him once they find the Gortys project. And then he tried ripping out Rhys throat. He could not have been a more obvious villain if they tried. And that's why I don't take Jack seriously as a character. He's just an over the top cartoon villain of the Adult Swim variety, complete with stupid diabolical schemes and committing atrocities for teh evuls.

The point of the stranger is not to make you regret your actions, but that he's been completely broken by the world. Episode two has a family of cannibals who eat dying people and run a farm, aesthetically preserving the quiet life and using "we are taught not to waste" rationale to justify committing a taboo. The third episode has the bandits, a band of people who aren't family, but are working together to murder and rape, though they will trade if they can. Nevertheless, they attack other groups when they feel it necessary. The fourth episode is Richmond (I think?), and they're the next step after loosely organized bandits, they're an attempt at building a society capable of sustaining itself in the new world, for the foreseeable future, with rules and some self-government. The selfishness of self-preservation causes them to rid themselves of the unfit, the children, the old, etc. They nevertheless are destroyed from within. The stranger is the representative of the final outcome in this gradual transition, he's the person who the world broke, by the complete collapse of any sense of cosmic justice or reason. He blames you for the death of his wife, while keeping her head in a bag, because he literally can't accept that the world as it is, with no more relevance to the concept of good and evil. Just like how he keeps his wife's zombie head to act out a marriage with a wife who won't leave his side and who he can feel as though he successfully takes care of, the sheer fact that Lee was indirectly related to his own tragedy is what makes him thoroughly convinced of the fact that Lee is evil and malicious. He needs to find a source of blame, and Lee is the one, and as it's simply too much for him to accept that the people who killed his family are good and deserve to live. The stranger is like the death rattle of all the normal people left, and the ones after him are able to accept the seemingly permanent state of the world

Fun Fact: A sniper rifle appears several times in this game that's gold trimmed with wooden upholstery. This rifle is called The Skullmasher, and it's legendary effect causes the bullets fired to act like shotgun shells. This means that at medium ranges this rifle can apply it's damage value up to 6 times. This is also a one of the few weapons that appears in Borderlands 1, 2, and the Pre-Sequel, however it was most effective and popular in Borderlands 1, as the power creep in 2 lead to only a few weapons to be viable. *cough cough* DPUH, Grog-Nozzle, Norfleet *cough cough* Bonus Fact: While probably coincidental, the Skullmasher name could have come from a line of revolvers in OG Borderlands that had a prefix called "Masher" that had a similer effect. Or it could have come from the fact it mashes skulls.

What are the chances of my finding a machine gun in the first game with a level 20 lock and a DPS that isn't matched until new game plus? Cause that's happened to me and I was convinced that I was on the receiving end of the greastest glitch ever.

@@siefer117 Depending on it's rarity, it's weapon parts, and your skill choices I could believe it. Unlike in Borderlands 2 where weapons hit like wet noodles if they were a few levels below the enemies you were fighting, a good Legendary or even God-roll purple could carry you 10-20 levels. For instance the Masher line of revolvers I mentioned were so powerful, a level 15 one carried me to almost level 25 before I had to swap it out. EDIT: I realize I didn't technically answer your question. Yeah, you were pretty lucky considering parts for God-roll machine guns are pretty rarely generated.

I looked up a guide online for weapon parts (no idea what they affected till now) so I think I'm gonna measure just how lucky I was next time I have the chance. I was playing as Brick and focused on Tank/Brawler so I doubt skills had any effect. Anyway, thanks for the help.
