They spent pretty much the entire game being really interested in the 'Wall Rider' and when they got the the end they all kinda went 'The ghost was just a mass of nanomachines the entire time?!' They then more or less agreed that the big reveal that the ghost was just a Metal Gear Solid plot twist the entire time pretty much ruined the whole game for them in retrospect. (and that was coming from a group of people that might love Metal Gear even more then the Zaibatsu)

+Djinnaz 007 (Dj) Well the thing is that whether or not the ghost you encounter during the majority of Outlast actually *is* the Wallrider and not the nanomachine ghost became completely irrelevant to me (and the people in the LP I watched) once I learned the nanomachines were even a thing. The mere existence of the psychopath controlled nanomachine cluster _immediately_ rooted itself in my mind as the sole explanation for the ghost you encounter in the asylum and because of that it's now impossible for me to actually think of it as scary in any way whatsoever due to it sounding like it could have been ripped straight out of MGS.

Pat- I am pretty sure that our camera only uses batteries when you are in nightvision. So that is why you can turn nightvision off: you can have all your blairwitch fun, and not waste batteries.

My favorite thing about the Outlast series still is that when the crazy people took over, the first thing they did was stop wearing pants. It's not that they didn't model them in game though, the pants are all still there, you find them neatly folded in drawers and stuff.
