I was thinking that is going to tie in as a theme for this game. She probably ends up lobotomized... which is super depressing. Also @Guy, Egyptians didn’t take a piece of brain from alive subjects, after all that was apart of the mummification process; taking a piece of the brain that is. They removed the organs to delay the decay process, washed the body in wine and left to dry before they were placed into a sarcophagus. (This isn’t the whole process, you can look it up if you’re inclined)

There is so much depth to the sexual assault room. The dead pure flowers, sound of a squeaking noise chair(sounds like a bed to me), the fact she was turned into a doll a lawyer would use, the red hand marks on her body and bed, the monster saying its her fault...wow, I see where this game is going.

I kinda like it, in the sense that it's a horror game, so it's not showing you reality, it's showing you objectively the worst way you could possibly view a given situation. For example, the nurse is dead in a wheelchair in her office, and all that remains is a ghost in her seat.

Eh. It’s okay. If not a little on point with it’s imagery. “000h it’s sp000ky because of g0re” But besides that it’s okay. Honestly it just seems depressing as fuck. 1940’s and mental institutions were more like dignified torture chambers. So I’m gonna guess that ties in with the theme of “You’re never going to leave without succumbing to madness” Perhaps she gets Lobotomized... that’d be a depressing ending. Course I’m just guessing because of the first thing shown was a diagram of a human brain at the nurses desk. Almost next to the handgun, perhaps the next best solution.

Old school mental asylums are horrifying because of how fucked up they were, and the fact that dark shit went down all the time. Patients were at the mercy of sadistic "doctors" playing mad scientists, and most families left their mentally ill family members without visiting because they didn't know how to handle it or didn't care. Shit was fucked. There is quite a few well-produced documentaries about old-school asylums, although they could be depressing for some people to watch. Although, I've got clinical depression and find them to be morbidly interesting rather than sad.

Did Billy do the Elevator Ritual to Another World? SPOOKY SUPERNATURAL TRIVIA: Skinwalkers (also known as the "yee naaldlooshii", translating to "they that walks on four legs") are werewolf-esque witches that originate from the Navajo culture. The main motif common among Skinwalkers are their ability to take the form of an animal. The methods may range from possessing one, transforming into one, or via dark magic. They possess telepathy, can change their voices and utilizes a powder that can basically inflict a fuckton of ailments called the Witch Powder. Their abilities came from the practice of the antithesis of the Navajo culture, sure as cannibalism, incest and murder. Which, personally, applies to a good chunk of the world's culture anyways. One can spot a Skinwalker in animal form by the deformity it possesses. Depending on what type of Skinwalker you encounter, dealing with them may be as simple as Phoenix Wright-ing their ass and accusing them of being a skinwalker in public, which robs them of their powers and kills them in a few days or so. Sometimes, you gotta do a complex ritual to counter their dark magic. Not much can be said about the Skinwalker as most info on them are scarce thanks to the Navajo people not really liking to discuss them to non-locals. There's a shitton of stories involving them all over the interwebs so one can get a general idea of what they tend to do. Apparently cars are involved a bunch of times.

Hey Maki, ever heard about that “The missing” which weaves a disturbing web of disappearing people across North America, throughout *all* national parks? Some scary shit that is being shoved under the rug, by the very organizations we’d assume are ensuring our safety within said parks. Some suspect “wild men”, but the more disturbing implication, is something I resonate with. The idea that these people abducted and taken some times thousands of meters on mountains, no scent trails, no foot prints leading there, nothing. It’s like they literally teleport from one spot to another.

Wonder what turned you off. iirc, Alice was made in 2001 and fulfilled that early 2000s macabre horror akin to Clive Barker's Undying and Nightmare Creatures - but less on sheer monsters and more on grotesque variants of known characters. Gameplay and storywise, the game doesn't hold up great; but the atmosphere is superb (just like Madness Return's atmosphere). Well, except the Deluded Depths that EA forced Spicy Horse to rush the fuck through (in regards to Madness Returns).

Check out the hand prints on the girl who's turned in to a doll. their location is very telling. And it says a lot about these victims... they're just dolls to the abusers and they have to in their own mind play dead and pretend not to be there as the abuse takes place.
