Not exactly. Batman who laughs knew ahead of time that he wouldn't accept his offer anyway. We gotta remember. Batman who laughs has the intellect of batman and joker and was able to basically plan ahead of time for moves that wasn't even made. He literally had a plan when he died to wonder woman's invisible chainsaw. I'd say this whole thing was just another plan for the batman who laughs. It also doesn't add up. Batman who laughs has the power to take on the strongest God of the DC universe and for prime one million superboy to just one shot him? Doesn't add up unless batman who laughs wanted him to think that he was dead in order to imprison him. He even stated "we are both capable of destroying each other equally" and which is true. If that were the case, batman who laughs was holding back against superboy. Only logical explanation here

You left out a big part of why he's so powerful. He's still stronger than most of current DC's characters because while the multiverse was wiped out and remade, and all the characters were "nerfed", him being in his pocket universe kept him from recieving this "nerf" along with the fact that he's not subject to the writer's mercy as he is a real person who knows that everybody around him doesn't really exist, they're merely characters. Meaning he was still more powerful than silver Age supes. I'd say this is more important than the lack of kryptonite in his world.

i think thats why he was different. every superman he's comprimised holds onto hope, that's his M O. thats superman, the embodiment of hope, who will never let go, or give up. superboy is anchored in our world, our universe. where letting go is a necessity, and a sign of strength, ascension. the other supermen could all be manipulated by their inability to let go. superboy was the cure for this formula the batman who laughs has employed. he now may need to switch up his tactics after going dark for a few. i do believe that world was made for superboy, and i do believe his story is not over. he'll jump in when they start weaving this stuff together with more detail. but this was his badly needed character arc. a bit obnoxious of a character before, but see what a little development can do? wonders. i enjoyed this story, for sure

I hope all the "minor" characters learn that Superboy Prime fought a big battle (compared to them) and don't think he just ran off, his recognition is due. Superboy Prime is a very compelling character because he is a very classic character, he has an empathetical/relatable story, his unknown power scaling (which matters and above god-killer level), and his amazing resolve. Also, I hope he is not permanently killed off in continuity (even if it was honorable or a well-written death) by The Batman Who Laughs because he is probably the overall best and is my favorite Superman.

@@Bluesit32 and other readers, I know this was a light-hearted and short comment (unlike mines), sorry, I wrote a long response because of course Superboy Prime is one of my favorite characters and (TL;DR) I think it would be wrong not for him to be recognized by the other characters. My main reason is in the last sentence of this comment. Like Rob and others were theorizing, Superboy Prime might actually be in a world created by the Batman Who Laughs (showing how much powerful he has), so the Batman Who Laughs can get him off the battlefield (probably knowing he somehow simply can't kill Superboy Prime). The other characters don't even know where he is and what he did. He might resolve out of this possible pocket universe (or shatter punch it) and be killed in another bang. Even if he isn't killed, he'll come back to the heroes and everyone would think and say he is a traitor or a coward (and he willingly let go of his original goals in his fight), I would hate if no one learns the truth. Us, the readers knowing that Superboy Prime did good wouldn't be enough for me.

I see an explanation to how SBP is so powerful. He is from the only place that is real. Everything else is just a shadow of it. It's why it can't kill him nor is he vulnerable to kryptonite from anywhere. Further, I don't think his universe was destroyed. It's just outside the lesser realms and inaccessible. TBWL is just powerful enough to either, 1. duplicate it in a lesser form or 2. actually kick him outside the DC universe back to the real world. If that the case, then TBWL would want a piece of Earth Prime.

The Classic Superman origin from Action Comics issue 1. The conversation with Laurie states that Clark never had his powers activated by the comic that night on the beach. He did not fly up into the sky. This issue is the writers making Superboy Prime back into The Superboy from Earth-Prime once more. A chance to rest him, so if new writers want to write him as a good guy they can.

Did you ever read Doomsday Clock? In Doomsday Clock Doctor Manhattan stated that he could not defeat Superman for some reason and when he thought that Superman had every reason to kill him Superman instead defended him and used to talk ful to convince him to reset the Multiverse back to normal so that life to go on like it's supposed to. he even suggested that in doing so Doctor Manhattan may die because it may take all that he's got an order to save everyone in both doctor Manhattan's world and Superman's world. That pacifist or normal Superman who only fights when he has to. proving that he has a strong reality-anchor the ability to resist and inflict reality altering damage on higher dimensional beings. Superboy Prime is like a version of him that's more aggressive and angry more likely to use his fists then his head but still has a similar heart wanting to help people. so when up against a Dark Twisted version of someone who has the same Powers as Doctor Manhattan he can go toe-to-toe with them just like Superman should have been able to go toe-to-toe with dr. Manhattan if that type of battle wasn't the kind of thing that Superman doesn't particularly care for as in an unnecessary battle

I think the answer is no, the body would reject the damage. the ink might stay for a time but it would be removed eventually.

If you didn't care to notice he stated "we are both equally capable of destroying each other" which means their both about equally powered based on that statement but equal in power doesn't mean that batman who laughs isn't smarter, cause I'm pretty sure he is. The dude has a plan for everything that can't be possibly expected before it even occurs before he gets his omnipotent power. @@kevgamer12 Perpetua is not the strongest DC God, she is beneath the Source and its wall (which is what was used to kill her by BWL's in the first place), The Presence, and most definitely beneath the Over Monitor which spawned her in the first place. I'll probably go out on a limb and say she is also weaker than CA superman, Mandrakk, Lucifer, Michael also since they're all outerversal and reside outside the entirety of creation in the greater omniverse on the Over void. Also this is Superboy Prime not Superman Prime One Million. SBP is stronger than 1 millon based on his feats prior while 1 million has no feats yet.

Prime has always been an interesting character. Its like fanfiction in a way, where you get sent into a comic/anime universe and get to live amongst fictional characters. But the ending of his fight with Batman Who Laughs was phenomenal. Like imagine right now you had the chance to go into the fictional world of DC and have anything you can dream of, but turning it down because you dont want to give up your family and those you loved. Thats what he did in the end and knew denying that future meant his death. Oh also one of the reasons I think he was strong enough to fight of the BWL is because his universe he comes from is 'kind of' outside the comic book universe in a way so he probably has somke 4thwall/medium powers/protection, like the weakest version of Gwenpools ability. For example no matter how powerful these comic book characters are, they could never actually harm me because im real and they are just fictional characters... right?

I thought this was explained as him being from the silver age. Thus when he was sent to the paradise dimension, time kept moving and heroes changed but he essentially remained the same with the hax silverage powers...Thats what i have always thought anyway.

Basically Superboy Prime is based off of aspects of silver/golden age superman. When they did the retcon for majority of characters he was in a paradise dimension so he was unaffected by the retcon. Even being like you described up above, basically a fan made character. Prime is basically an anomaly in D.C. comics. He's strong enough to defeat basically multiple supermen and pretty much every superhero out there with very few exceptions. The reason being is that his kryptonian physique is different from the other multiverse supermen. He only needs mere seconds of yellow sunlight to recharge to 100% where other supermen need more time. Closer to an hr or 2.

I don't think he's dead. As Dr. Manhattan said, pulling himself back together was the first trick he learned. I don't doubt Prime managed to shatter him. The boy breaks reality itself. He did it once. But when he did, reality repaired itself...just slightly wrong (ie replacing Jason Todd's corpse with the Jason Todd that survived the explosion and beating the Joker gave him). No reason the Darkest Knight can't do it too.

Yeah, I think he killed and temporarily destabilized TBWL (As his pulling back together likely would be delayed/weakened due to getting reality-shatter punched). But he likely would eventually restore himself. My best guess is we will see the JL/Earth Characters' perspective of this issue and see the conclusion of "The Worlds are dissapearing" dialouge line in the next main Death Metal issue, with a large number of the worlds returning to "Normal' or being destroyed but before all of them are gone TBWL reconstitutes, pissed off, and weakened even further for his battle against Golden Wonder Woman.

Superboy Prime, one of the most under rated characters. One of the most unique, since he is a hold over from the original Mutiverse, before it collapsed and was reformed. I'm surprised someone hasn't used him to devise a plan to create the original Multiverse.
