Local Residents Turn AGGRESSIVE Towards Supercar Owners!!

What started out as pretty chilled as we caught the supercars attending VMax leaving the event through a village making minimal noise and being respectful of the local residents, there was a small group of residents who seemed to have a personal vendetta against any nice car that came through and turned aggressive towards some of the supercar owners.
I can accept some of the noise would be quite annoying to some with a few cars having loud exhausts, but this group of residents went too far and overreacted unnecessarily hurling abuse at a Nissan GTR for doing absolutely nothing wrong, threatening them and even attempting to chase it down the street! You'll see in the video there were also some younger photographers who were absolutely terrified of this guy charging down the street with his abusive language.
Us as photographers and videographers were also subject to some abuse claiming that we were egging the cars on and making them make more noise. Absolute rubbish tbh.
Nevertheless we saw some pretty amazing cars on the road including a satin green Aventador SVJ, some nice McLaren 600LT's, Supercarnigels amazing Turbo S cab and much more!

Drivers do need to be more considerate, especially for the neighbours Where's they're causing all they're ruckus, I'm all for cars but as long as you respect people's rights to.... Modified cars do create alot of noise which is a huge disturbance hearing it constantly.. When you're tryna take a nap or have kids and what not.. It really is quite selfish sometimes.. Just my opinion but we need to find a balance

Cottesmore village is where coming through, and it's not the end of the world thing. It's not like it's a constant flow of traffic from events from there. But there will always be two sides to every story. Personally, i love seeing cars like this, and it wouldn't bother me if only occasional event coming though. I mean I live near the Silverstone race circuit, and the only time things ever became an issue was many years ago you would have random people parking in your drives or along your streets making it a pain then, and that's just pure disrespect.

One thing I've observed from the same model cars in europe and in Usa is that in Europe there turn signals are orange, and in US the exact same model is red. .. that was a strange one. I noticed it especially on the S550 ( these are usually european car brandds like mercedes, Bmw, audi, etc)

It’s not even like it’s a village issue. It’s a few people who don’t like it. There was residents when I was there who said they enjoyed the cars. There are official ways of getting your opinion across to the correct people. Shouting at innocent spectators and getting aggressive to people just makes you look ridiculous.

@@boooooobiesrgreat I wouldn't say so (I live just out of shot looking up the road they're driving down). For the most part it is a really quiet place. Occasional fleet of army vehicles (though they nearly always use the crash gate) and sometimes there's night flying exercises. I guess people feel differently about a day out playing with cars vs armed forces training or whatever. Not sure I think that's a legit standpoint but then I don't mind the cars... No doubt it *used* to be a loud place to live (which is why the MOD paid to install double glazing to all surrounding properties when they moved in) but like I say, it's not been an active airbase for probably over a decade.

Fair one, but that person clearly has other issues than those few cars on that day. The event is a single day with maybe the afternoon beforehand to prep, set up and a few safety runs. Yes there may be a few days throughout the year but it's not every day and all day, I think that's the point I have been trying to get across 👍

I think they were, it says leaving a Vmax event. Presumably they were leaving a racetrack which exits onto the road in the video, rather than trying to hit Vmax in a cul de sac. On the one hand, if you don't like the sound of tasty cars, don't buy a house next to a race track. I used to live next to a proving ground, never complained about the noise since it was there long before I was. On the other hand, having attended many track days, you do see a few people leaving them driving as though they are still on a track. This is a shame because it tars all attendees with one brush. Ultimately this is about personal accountability. If you have an issue with the black R8 for example who is clearly driving a bit too fast at times and has completely illegal tint on his front windows, report him. I'm sure he understood the risks when he decided to put the tint on and speed in front of cameras. In this video there were far more cars leaving the event driving legally than idiots driving like spanners. Sadly the law abiding car owners and enthusiasts aren't the ones people pay attention to.

If the organisers keep insisting on sending them out through the main gate & village opposed to the crash gate and Thistleton Lane (the long straight road in the middle of the country side) then it will start to look antagonistic. At that point the base commander probably will pull the plug because he won't want the hassle from the vocal minority of locals.
