When I was a kid, I knew "tripe" could be used to mean garbage or rubbish. I found out about the stomach dish later. So I immediately got the insult from McGonagall, but didn't get the pun until later. I didn't understand why Trelawney didn't fight back until I finally got the joke.

Being someone who doesn’t have great relationship with the dad, I really appreciate the experience Rowling gave me, all those great father figures in 7 books who showed love, kindness and respect to Harry. They taught me how to be a good father for my kids in the future. Today listening to how your father played his role in your life is also really refreshing. The way he loves you two when you were kids and understands and supports you when you are adults with unconventional career.

21:00 I unfortunately was never able to be waiting for the book to release at a store, but my birthday is July 31st so my mom used to gift me the next book in the series for my birthday. I still have my original books, some with a birthday message written inside. Never giving them up, even if I do sell or donate my other physical books. 😁

I love the christmas feel that your father brings to this episode. here is my long rant about getting the books. I wasn't allowed to wait outside the bookstore when the books came out but my sister (11 years older then me) was allowed and my father would bring her, pay for the book(s), and pick her up -she would go to readers parties as long as she brought two books - one for her and one for me. She didnt say any spoilers but she would take the book and read forme when she got impatient and wanted to discuss it with me. I am dyslexic so it always took a bit longer for me to finish them, then her. Merry holidays and happy new year

I gotta say, its cool when you have family on. It’s heartwarming. Makes me think of doing things with my dad. He didn’t read to us (my mom did that), but we played games together, and still do. I can totally see J finish reading the books while Ben was still reading and just bursting to talk about it and trying not to spoil everything for him. So I paid the math budget… and here are the numbers: In 2021, there have been 24 games of J vs Ben. J has won 16 games Ben has won 5 games 3 games have ended in a tie J has scored 230 total points Ben has scored 191 total points (This is without counting the “Most Expensive Disney Artifacts” video, where they used percentages) Which means J outscored Ben by 39 total points this year Which also also actually actually means that J outscored Ben by 1.7 points a game on average Ben got his first win on April 1st, in “Hardest Harry Potter Magical Objects Trivia Quiz” He went on a win streak when he started wearing the glasses on July 22, beating J three times in a row. Since those 3 games, however, he is 0-6 whilst donning glasses. In Harry Potter Trivia specifically, the score is 10-3-1 in favor of J. The most viewed J vs Ben video was the Harry Potter redemption quiz, with 287,850 views, which J won 10.5-6.5. The win tied J’s largest margin of victory at 4, along with the “Hardest Loki Trivia Quiz”, which he won 13-9. Ben’s biggest win was in the “Hardest Pixar Movie Trivia Quiz”, which he won by 4, 8-4.
