The two white shirts on the cat are called troubleshooter/final checkers they belong to the squadron of the aircraft, usually one guy from each maintenance dept . Attached to what is called the line shack. Yellow and green shirt guys are flight deck crew who belong to the ships company. I was a final checker for EA6B's on Ranger and Enterprise back in the 80's. Coolest job I ever had. Nothing like a F-14 in full AB 20 feet from you. The A6's and EA6B's were so loud on launch you could feel your skull rattling in your head.

You didn't get the plane directors signals quite right. Watch Wags' video again and watch how he moves the plane depending on the signal given. When he gives you "straight forward" signal, it doesn't mean to go towards him, it literally means to drive the jet straight, no matter what aspect that is compared to him. so if he is 10 degrees to the left of your nose and he tells you to go "straight", literally do that, go straight, not towards him. All will be clear if you watch Wags' video on this again

Oh, my god, I LOVED the animated deck crew. =D And I really hope ED increased the Air Traffic Control AI and the Radio Communications with it. But what I really REALLY hope the most is that they implement this new Deck Crew system, combined with the ATC improved AI for the regular Air Bases. Would it be too much to ask for? I mean, a man can dream, right? Replicate the Deck Crew into a Ground Crew System for the Air Bases and Airports. This would bring SO MUCH life into the ghostly, empty, dark and lifeless Airports in DCS. It's one of my top 5 items I've always wanted to see improved in DCS ever since I started playing it, way back since 2013-2014...

I just discovered that I can successfully take off from the carrier in DCS in the F/A-18C without the catapult. I just taxi to the very rear of the carrier. Hold my toe brakes down all the way. Go full flaps. Then go max power with afterburner. Once the brakes can’t hold back the plane any longer, I release the brakes and roll down the center of the carrier along the longest axis of the carrier. As long as the F/A-18C total weight is under around 35,000 pounds or so, I reach 150 knots IAS right at the end of carrier and the plane doesn’t even dip below the level of carrier deck once I run out of runway. Whenever I’m practicing carrier landings in single player, after a successful landing, I’ve found that it’s a a lot faster to just taxi to rear of the carrier and take off without the catapult, rather than having to line up and hook up to the catapult and go thru all of the catapult launch procedures with the ground crew.

@@PassportBrosBusinessClass I still have the 2080 TI and have no flight deck glitches, even in VR. If there are glitches, I just dial the settings down a bit. After that, it runs like butter. Never had any problems on the carrier though, only a few in-flight

One thing I'd like to see for night launches is the signal from the pilot to launch - exterior lights on. Then again, I saw that flight deck crew wands were recently introduced, so maybe "lights on" has too. I'll have to check.

Dang, I'm getting into DCS at the right time. Spending the last week figuring out the controls. I have a bit of advantage thanks to Falcon 4 SP3 years ago. But I'm only just messing with F18 instrument navigation and landing. Going to be a bit before I can play with a carrier. And good documentation on sustainable turns for F-18? I'm finding F16 15, and others. But nothing good on the 18. And each map's magnetic compass drift? Messed me up doing Tacan landing last night. I'm primary focussing in Saber, 18, and 16. I'll probably get the basic 15 and A10, but I don't want to spread myself to thin. Jack of all trades, master at none.

LOL, Yeah, I spread myself thin two months ago when I bought the F-14, F-16, M2000C, AV-8B, AJS-37, F-5E Tiger II, and FW-190 A-8; Well worth it though they had a huge sale back in March on Steam. The A-10C is definitely worth it the tutorials are excellent and it's a helluva fun plane to fly plus...BRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTT!!!!

Since everything looks exactly the same as the Stennis. Size and texture, just with a few personnel. I'm most excited for the under-deck part, increased spawn points, and hopefully multiplayer has performance and network improvements. But none of those things are being shown or talked about. So I'm a tad bit worried.

Hi cap, could you do a video on the most efficient SEAD aircraft? Maybe set up an enemy air base with Sam sites and AAA and then send in different SEAD capable aircraft and see which one clears it fastest and with least damage?

The su-25t carries the most (6 in total) downside is your slow and vulnerable to the long range SAMs. The the 18 and jf-17 both can carry 4 missiles. The 18s are the furthest reaching. Then you have the harrier which can carry 4 that are extremely short range (they're aim9s with a radiation seaker head)

@@ionator2000ist You know SEAD doesnt just involve shooting anti-radiation missiles right? Shoot a harm, take out the search radar, reducing their engagement range, take the rest out with JDAMs or JSOWs. 2 Harms + 4x GBU-38s is my preferred loadout.

@@Ironwulf2000 With multiple radars your loadout is a bit weak if your're playing without other planes doing SEAD. With 2 or 3 three layers of defense (say an SA-10 protected by some Buks and one or two short range radars, or maybe Tunguska), you definitely need a lot more anti-radiations. Cause these little bastards will most likely destroy half of your anti-radiation missiles. There's no perfect loadout, but alone, the Su-25 and it's 6 missiles is probably the best when you have to deal with several layers.

Everyone must have it to use the features of supercarrier, I believe, however the mission will still run ok if you do not have it.... it will just not show the deck crew etc.
