richzilla08 The thing is, most times when a new car model replaces an old one, we are quick to point out that it doesn't look as good as the previous one. And that may not necessarily be true. In some, if not most cases, it may just be because we've already grown accustomed to the previous model, that we think it looks better. As human beings, we tend to view things that we've already become familiar with (or accustomed to) as being better or best. And the same is true even with regards to RELIGION and CULTURE/TRADITION. That's why it is wise to wait until we see a new car in person in order to make a fair comparison between it and its predecessor. It sometimes takes a while for it to sink in, before we can really appreciate the design of that new car.

I've always struggled with the look of previous R8s I'm afraid this one hasn't changed my mind, also the additional buttons on the steering wheel look like an after thought, in my opinion they would have looked better integrated in the wheel. Sorry guys I know there are alot of R8 fans out there.

the thing is this is a great video! but kinda pissed off cause I went to my local dealer and did a video on the new R8 they was nice enough to let me rev it to! BUT we are all in the same boat as Paul in wanting to be a successful KZbinr and I asked my local dealer to take me for a quick spin and they said they are not allowed, so why is it different for Paul?

19c in November in the UK? WTF. Currently have the gen 1 R8 V10 and I must say the interior is a massive upgrade. Exterior is nice but I still think the 1 gen looks good. And I have to disagree with the new R8 looking better, the 1 gen looks wider and more menacing than the gen 2 plus the 2014 R8 headlamps look pretty sick as well.

Johnny Valencia I'm not really a fan of bright colors. But this car seems to really stand out in yellow. Still, I would prefer to get it in black over black with red diamond and contrast stitichings on the seats.

I like it more than the huracan, but not sure about this or the old v10 plus. But the crackles ,which you said are engineered in the exhaust, ruin the car for me. There should be an option while specing the car to remove it or add it.
