@@Deadly7K They ARE getting permabanned... Did you not watch the video? It affects them very disproportionately as well, since to normal to players it's just a game that they can move on from. For most KZbinrs in the creator program it's their actual job, a very expensive one too since they have to spend WAY more money in order to compete because of how much Supercell loves moving the goal-post forward with card levels. Card level 15 up from 14 takes THREE TIMES the amount of cards that it takes to reach card level 14 from level 1. It costs literal thousands of dollars, just to continue being able to do their jobs. Creators are not compensated in any way for new card levels being released, they have to put in the same amount of effort and money as everyone else. I'm not saying it doesn't suck just as much for normal players, I'm saying that the two are incomparable. It's thousands of dollars being stolen from tens of thousands of people either way, but it's also hundreds of jobs lost ALL over a bug that Supercell only cares about because it means that players don't have to spend their life savings just to compete in a mobile game.

I remember years ago when clash of clans had a glitch like this and I got 4k gems from it. They later apologized and solved the bug, probably not even thinking about punishing any of the abusers, knowing it was their mistake.

Brawl stars had a glitch where some people were able to claim the entire trophy road again, leading to those players getting a lot more progress. Instead of banning people who did that, the devs gave everyone else who didn’t get to do this glitch rewards based on their trophies to even out progression for all players.

Most creators have other ways (donations, patreon) to support them. This way CR doesn‘t even get a cut. I think that would be the best way to support creators. The creator code cut for code in Supercell games is just 5% anyways.

The book of books is 20 dollars now in CAD. A lot of the prices have been gouged up. As someone with an Android, I don't check bugs like this often. So there is a player base. Yeah, I also didn't know how rare the drop rates are. I'm getting close to nothing lol. Bug-related stuff happens all the time from devs. It shouldn't be taken advantage of if you can especially something that gives such a big advantage, such as elite wild cards. I believe that perma-bans are ridiculous. They need to make Clash more f2p as well, because as someone who's been playing the game for a while. I constantly feel behind and feel a lack of diversity with my card limitations.

It is completely understandable that supercell wants to discorage econ glitches and to set an example, but this is harsh because perm bans for bugs are historically rare. Imo giving out 7-day bans and issuing a public statement that punishments will be more severe in the future would achieve a similar effect, with much less backlash.

It's crazy that they just ban this many accounts permanently. As you said, you took 5 dollars from them because of a bug that was their mistake. The accounts banned probably add up to more than 100k dollars total. Another crazy thing is that you only see the top accounts getting permanently banned, likely because they know those top players will start a new account and spend thousands of dollars again. It seems the developers have decided to let the game die and milk it as much as possible before that happens. It's really sad.

a better thing to do would be have the software figure out how much money worth of scams the players did, and then allow them to pay for that amount to unlock their account, they'd recover all their lost money and nobody would be able to say it's unfair since they did break the TOS knowingly anyway. They 100% have a way to figure out how much worth of "hacks" (exploiting a bug in their lazy, garbage code) each player did; why not just charge them for that instead of trying to force them to spend thousands more? Anyone who isn't making content is probably just quitting the game if they got a permaban

In order to get rewards from lucky drop you need to use a glitch. I rarely get anything other than common drops. Rates are about as poor as getting canoneer tower troop in chests.

With lucky drops being 30% to upgrade per rarity which was said by most creators being before the update was dropped to have a common upgrade to legendary was a 2.7% but since the release I’ve only gotten commons. So if I were to guess it was changed to 10% or maybe even 5%. Making it a 0.1% or 0.0125% for you to get a legendary, which is practically impossible. Or even hard to get an epic for that matter lucky drop. Plus with this meta and EVOs I just stopped supporting and playing that game.

This is how every clash royale season goes: Supercell releases a new OP troop, evo, or tower. They make it extremely overpriced in the shop. Then they remove it from the shop and nerf it so they can do the same thing again in the next season. It takes upwards of a year if not more for a f2p player to max out a deck and by the time they do there’s already 10 new overpowered cards out that make their current deck unplayable. It’s ridiculous at this point

It's perfectly reasonable to ban people for abusing an exploit if it's in the T&Cs. I don't think a perma ban is reasonable unless they abused bugs multiple times though. Also, I might be their fault for the bug, but every game will have bugs, and if you had your wallet stolen because it was hanging out of a pocket, would you not try to punish the person that stole it? I could say it's your fault it got stolen, since it wasn't in a safe place, but that doesn't stop you from being perfectly justified to punish the person that stole it.

OMG ryley read that pls. I just realized that I have already experienced the bug without realizing it. I had just opened my lucky drop and I got a rare as usual (it gave me commons) but I didn't press the screen again when it displayed my reward and I just quit the game. And then when I returned to the game a little later there was still the lucky drop. At the time I thought it was a small bug (which it was) but now I understand better. Since I experienced the bug why am I not banned?!! It's unfair what supercell are doing!!

It's such a slap in the face that after so many passes bought and money spent you get banned for a silly book of books. and the deals are so ridiculous. I came back in January so naturally I don't have LP. I haven't gotten one LP from like 5 Hero chests so far. The shop deal on LP was 1 for $2, so $40 to max LP only up to lvl 14. It's silly. I think it would be difficult to prove breaking tos on a glitch that was only used once. I think they would have a good defense by showing only one use, they realized it was a glitch and didn't do it again. If you accidentally find a flaw in a games coding are you then eligiblable to be banned by the games flaw?. Just a thought anyways.
