Supercell Thunderstorm / Rotating Wall Cloud- Waurika, OK 06.15.2023

On this day we tracked a supercell thunderstorm and documented a rapidly rotating wall cloud, and a funnel cloud in the town of Waurika, OK. Afterwards we were treated to some amazing storm structure as the sun went down.

That was fun to watch especially when the scud got ingested by the wall cloud. That fascinates me. Nice job!

Thanks Lori! There was a few reliable chasers that did in fact report this as a tornado as they reported a ground circulation associated with the funnel. Our view got poor rather quickly once the rain moved in so we couldn't confirm it ourselves.

Interesting video! My area in England had around 7 thunderstorms this year. I hope New York is having good storms for you this year?

We've had a few storms, but it has been pretty quiet in the city itself with most of the storms being north and west of us. Because we are so close to the coast, the water has a tendency to stabilize the atmosphere right here. But the next few days could be active so fingers crossed! Glad to hear you've gotten a few storms there in England!!

@oxicon That is absolutely true, but my channel focuses on severe weather so the people that come to view my channel are fans of the weather, and severe storms.
