Craigs teaching style is great. He knows it’s boring learning rudiments and method but stresses how important they are in a relatable engaging way.

People don't know or remember Craigs old teaching vids - he's a very, very good teacher and his sound is something that, honestly, rock/metal drummers should pursue (myself included!)

if every person starting drums started with this they would be so much better than they usually are year in a week!

Thank you so very much Evans for giving us an opportunity to appreciate Craig’s super-logical smart side. I sensed it from his playing all the time but it hits differently when he teaches❤ I hope more videos of him instructing are coming😊

Damn, what a lovely video to get my technique more focused and deliberate. I see people praising Craig for his teaching abilites in the comments, and although this is my first time seeing him, I totally get where they're coming from!

Craig using his classic kit is glorious!

This video resonated so much with me. The way Craig breaks the concept down and makes it super easy to engage with, by applying it to rudiments - I actually think this is one of *the* most important videos to watch as a beginner. I'd consider myself intermediate, but after just one day, I can feel my technique improving in a way I did not anticipate, and I'm loving it.

I have waited for this video for months after Craig mentioned he was going to do this with Evans. I still have a video saved from when Craig taught this on Twitch.

There's nooo way I just watched a segment from Late Night and you're just jumping at me like a jack in the box, talking to John Oliver... So I guess I did see you before, because I remember seeing that segment before xD

All strokes are wrong ……. Check Jeff Queen, John Riley ,Joe morello and other greats to see how the basic strokes are The full stroke starts and ands high but the arm should parallel to the floor etc the Moeller movements all wrong…….

He literally says at the very beginning that there are multiple ways of teaching/learning this stuff and that this has worked for him. More than one way to skin a cat dude.

@@LH_Tama aha okey, so your answer at the end is, that we have to accept , that there are several “trues “ to learn the technique properly and correct. Well I’m sorry, especially I cannot accept in the way, that this is the video placed on the KZbin channel of the one of the largest company , which produces the drumheads. I’m sorry
