Early morning drive in the supercharged 2015 Tacoma 6speed. Some discussion of the parts and the performance of my truck. New boost gauge and ultragauge installed and working. Save the manuals! Delivers 7.8 psi max boost... slightly higher than claimed:

The Magnuson MP90 Supercharger system for 05-15 1GR-FE 4.0L V6 equipped 2005-2015 Tacoma force-feeds the V6 with 5-6psi of boost for a total output of 305hp and 335lb-ft at the crank.

i'm very happy with the standard pulley. truck doesn't need more power. it pulls pretty hard up grades with a full load of firewood in the back which was my goal.

How did the super charger effect mpg, at what rpm is the supercharger beneficial?

there is a bypass valve for no-boost so regular driving is largely unaffected. but the 4.0 tacoma gets terrible gas mileage from the factory. supercharger makes near-instant boost if you hit the throttle at any RPM. it's effective the entire range. you do have to run 91+ octane all the time tho.
