This series is gold! I'm so glad to watch a project with a determined craftsman and his stated endpoint. The workmanship and design looks great, way beyond the humble things I do on my patch of concrete out back of my apartment. I'm coming in late to this project so I get to binge watch for a while as well!

Good work, you will get that bike running. I think a 29 mm or mabye smaller carb will work better, I run a 29 mm Keihin CV carb on my 250 cc. Then I think you migth need to expriment with custom throttle needle taper and mabye two or three springs to slower the lift of the throttle. CV carb with acclerator pump was a good chooise for me, I had to put a Mikuni stand alone accelerator pump on my bike to not lean out the engine under acceleration. Nice work

nice engineering project , am glad i found this , you could use a counter sunk screw instead of the hex head near the belt ? and the carb looks like it could be CB750 F (DOHC) or similar ,thats fairly large . but does have the accelerator pump , some Honda big singles may have a better and smaller carb option ?

You might want to think about getting some thicker spokes or a Honda mag rear for a CM400 to carry the extra torque you'll be producing. Since the mag would be a possible 'style' disturbance, you might like the spokes better. I subscribed when I found your last video, so you may have covered this previously, but other than the mount on the exhaust side, is there any reason why you prefer to not have the intake in the rear where it would be tucked in out of the way and the exhaust would be a straight dump into the airbox? That configuration would eliminate most of the very nice tig work you have been doing but, it would cut out any compressive lag time, which is probably negligible, anyhow. As a final thought, would an alcohol or water injection do anything to cool down the additional heat of the increased air temperature/fuel mix, or would the finning be sufficient to carry off that combined with the increased power stroke temps?

You don't seem concerned that your apparently getting a substantial amount of fuel in the cam gallery, that shouldn't be happening. What's your oil look like?

I misspoke. That's why it says "OIL*" on the screen when I mistakenly said fuel.
