Actually most of the fastest guys are pushing around the 3.4 pulley ratio. Shane horning, Mattys4, and the first 9 second supercharged s5 was on a 3.5 pulley ratio granted with a 50 shot. The only guy in the very low 10s to be on standard pulley ratio is rushil with a good bit of weight reduction and mixing 109 octane with ethanol. My 2 cents are if you live in a hot area go with a normal pulley ratio but if you live somewhere where its mainly colder outside then don't be afraid even going with a 3.4 ratio as the heat is less likely to be an issue

@calebs281 high elevation you ideally would want the highest pulley ratio you can get however with the overheating issue on these cars you will still run into that problem. Shooting for something like a 194 crank or a 196 5 crank with a 57mm upper as Long as you upgrade your coolant pump you should be fine

Hi there @034Motorsport quick question, For a inner city daily driving where the environment mostly gets us in a situation where short-distance acceleration is more useful than long-distance top speed, and wanting to optimise the performance boost without losing efficiency and reliability, would you suggest more the 179 mil with the stock upper pulley or the 179 mil with the upgraded upper pulley? Thank you! I am new to this and trying to understand better. Additional note: I live in a hot and humid region so heat is an important factor
@034motorsport
@034motorsport 6 ай бұрын
Hey there! The 179mm Crank Pulley Setup with the stock or upgraded upper is a great setup as it produces less heat compared to the 190mm setup. The preference for going single or dual pulley is entirely up to you, just be sure you're fulfilling the required hardware for each by referencing our product page here: www.034motorsport.com/b8-b8-5-audi-s4-s5-3-0-tfsi-performance-software-stage-1-2-plus-dual-pulley-6877.html

My question is... what software you recommend me to run for this??? 034 or IE or APR or what??? I don't want to go E40 or so.. Only 91fuel with it. Of course what is your 034 price???... and how can I order it?

Question…is the 034 crank pulley as balanced as the stock pulley is? (especially long term applications) and reliability is concerned?
@034motorsport
@034motorsport 8 ай бұрын
We do not specifically balance, the pulleys, but since the aluminum material we use is inherently, a very uniform material, and the part is perfectly symmetrical then it is inherently a very balanced piece already, and no further balancing is needed.

would the 3.29 ratio be too aggressive for a daily driver? is it only the upgraded sc pulley that increases heat, or is it the higher ratio in general that aids in heat production

A 3.29 ratio would not be too aggressive for a daily driver. It is the higher pulley ratio in general that increases heat production, which is why we list an upgraded heat exchanger as a requirement once you go Stage 2+.

@@ProjectArjun Generally speaking, getting close to that 3.0 ratio mark will require a heat exchanger. Depends largely on how hard you’re going to drive the car, and the climate it’s in. I have an upgraded 57mm supercharger pulley on my A6 and haven’t seen any issues or heat soak from just that alone, all stock cooling.
