When my dad was a diesel mechanic working on B-Train fuel tractor trailers, all of their heavy duty tools were air compressor powered. Now our bus mechanics mostly use lithium battery tools but the air compressors are still there. Really useful item for a home garage as you can do so much with them.

Good information thanks. As a kid I worked in a service station back in the days when you got your tank filled for you. An old timer told me not to put valve caps in your mouth. He said "Just think about a dog with a cocked leg ............" :)

I've got a 50L belt drive Stanley compressor, had it over 10 years, best tool in my shed.

Looks like a great little compressor mate. Supercheap have some great products. Also if you are a club member can you buy something at full price ,when it goes on sale They will give you store credit to use. If you buy something else

Yeah Buck What is it with Townsville Servos and broken Air Pumps. We have 3 servos near me and youd be lucky to find one air pump in working order.

Handiest tool ever... vacuum cleaner filter, brake drums & discs, car interior seat covers & areas. Also for keyboards drop your psi down to about 10psi cause you can blow the keys off (found that out)

It's funny how our climates are opposite. I couldn't sit outside like that it's 18 degrees Farenheight and -7.77 Celcius. I'm jealous Buck!! We don't have to worry about typhoons (huuricanes) here midland but winters are a cold beast...

I'm noticing lately some servos don't even have air anymore I went to 4 the other day with a slow leak what's happening these days still remember old school servos when they use to fill you up

The good old days mate. Servos now just want to charge you as much as possible for fuel and try and ram chocolate bars down your throat when you pay for the overpriced fuel. The whole country is going backwards mate. I used to work at a servo in high school filling up cars. Mind you that was late 70's.

Just wondering if the smaller 8 litre Blackridge air compressor will run on a 2000W or 3000W inverter - could be used instead of an onboard / portable style 12V air compressor as it has a storage tank for the ease of tyre inflation. Is it worth a try? Should be small enough to store in the Ute tub.
