True. Practicing a riff at 80 bpm and working back up to the normal tempo is tough. Especially recording into the DAW so you can see just how out of time you are haha.

My chops have to be up to really play fast. But playing in the pocket at slower tempos and wailing is equally challenging, but in a different way obviously. So many shredders, but not many wailers.

i play slow as i am not be able to shred . anyway i cannot play my foot and play guitar. i would be a useless drummer. probably it comes from where i was young and studied piano: forbidden to tap foot. in my head it is ok enough. great tones you are able to create

I love to play less, slower and in the groove, fast schredding is not my thing at all

There is something missing with rhythm playing these days. Robben Ford has some videos where he demos great rhythm playing. What is missing with lots of guitarist is a reluctance to let chords ring out. Everying is more percussive, with is the drummer's job.
