This movie is very nostalgic for me. I saw it as a kid and it’s always been very memorable, in fact it was probably my first introduction to Supergirl and as first impressions go she wasn’t that bad. In this film she was wide eyed and curious, but still young and somewhat immature and she grows into her own by the end. This laid the groundwork for me of seeing other great versions of the character like in Justice League Unlimited, Injustice 2, the CW tv show, and I even liked her in the Flash movie. She’s honestly become one of my favorite superheroines and I think she is very under appreciated these days. Also the beat down she and Superman give Darkseid in this movie is awesome!!

One of the best DC movies imo. With a good depiction of Kara trying to find a place on earth, Superman having a family member and wanting to protect her, Batman ever so cautious with kyptonians, Wonder Woman being that big sister/mentor to Kara and seeing her being ready to fight like her cousin, Darkseid being very terrifyingly strong, Apokilips itself being terrifying, and Big Barda being a badass

I don’t care which which movie is better Superman/Batman: Public Enemies the sequel Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, I love them both. I enjoy Jeph Loeb’s work on DC and Marvel comics. He did an excellent job reintroducing Supergirl to the DC Universe after she died in Crisis On Infinite Earths. Superman/Batman: Apocalypse Blu-Ray is officially on my Christmas wishlist this year, just like when I got Justice League: The New Frontier on Blu-Ray, another DC animated movie I love.

Supposedly Kryptonian women are stronger than the men when exposed to sunlight. Over time, she'll be stronger than Superman. Superman only has a temporary edge since he's been exposed to Earth's sun for a longer time. Kara also acclimated far more quickly than he did, but he didn't have a Kryptonian and "Grumpy" to advise him. She also has Amazonian training.

Realistic? I don't think so. Kara adapted to Earth culture way to seamlessly. She was acting like a typical teenage human girl as opposed to a distraught being from a completely alien planet with a different method of measuring age and time. Even the foreigners on our planet wouldn't be acting this way.

2:32 turns out, being a earth girl is apparently not that different from being a kryptonian girl 🤣🤣🤣 3:56 To be honest, i think Batman and Wonder Woman were overeacting here, sure the girl need training, but there was no reasons to attack her here or exiled her on Themiscyra. The whole day has been uneventful aside from a few minor accidents. Carl literally learned alone to control his powers, i don't see why Kara couldn't. She literally had her cousin to help her and a entire isolated fortress to train in. That operation was really unnecessary and uncalled for.

This Supergirl is based off her Post Crisis Comic book run from 2005 or so onward. Too bad they never made a follow up movie. In the comics she further has to confront a lingering darkness inside her that... thanks to Lex Luthor, manifests itself as another, evil version of herself. Even after the evil version is defeated she still has lingering dark thoughts she can't fully shake until she finally realizes a god-like being has been testing her up till then who thinks she.. the THIRD iteration of Supergirl in DC comics, is an anomaly that does not deserve to exist. In everything is revealed as to the whys and whats and Supergirl is just glad her trial by fire with her dark but false memories is finally over.

I really hope to see Supergirl in My Adventures With Superman! Let us hope that her origin story is the same as in the comics where she saw her family die on Krypton and was later sent into suspended animation when the blast from Krypton hit her ship and later landed on Earth. In the Supergirl movie, she went to Earth to retrieve an orb that empowers her people's city which feel into the hands of an evil sorceress who summoned a demon to kill her.
