It felt like they were taking Lena in the Lex Luthor direction for a bit. Now, it doesn’t have that feel so much, but this story of Lena not trusting Kara is just getting old. I want more for Lena than to just become a version of Lex that’s just out to get Supergirl by any means necessary. There are plenty of other villains they can use to combat Supergirl. That story has dragged. I’ve started to have hope when Winn told Kara to give Lena time, so maybe things will get better.

Personally, I have enjoyed watching "Supergirl" for years and I will continue to watch it for the exciting stories and concepts that will come along the way. I was actually extremely disappointed by that statement from Katie. Saying that there's a lot of ''Nudge,Nudge, Wink,Wink'' It was such a shameful moment of baiting the obsessive Lena/Kara shippers. She basically gave the shippers more hope for a hopeless situation and she gave the showrunners more reason to continue baiting. Its a cycle that doesn't seem to end any time soon sadly.

I don't think there has been any baiting at all to be honest, there has never been any suggestion that they were more than best friends and whether or not fans want to believe there is is up to them. Even when they were still friends, there was no suggestion from either of them that they wanted to be more, and I think for people to keep on trying to make every close friendship romantic isnt good. Fans so often have a way of thinking that says that there isn't any such thing as a completely platonic close friendship, and I see this comment as an example of this. Rooting for something that doesn't exist and then accusing the cast and writers of things when it still isn't happening is not the way to go about things.

But on the other side I'm not a female and I'm not part of the LGBTQ community. So who knows i might miss signs others might easily see. But as for this interview her saying ''Nudge,Nudge Wink,Wink'' was obviously directed towards the LGBTQ community who feel like there are a lot of nudges and winks between Lena and Kara hinting at something more. And the reason i take issue with her saying that is because it keeps the hope alive for those Lena and Kara shippers. Either Katie,Melissa or the showrunners themselves need to clarify that a relationship between them isn't going to happen ever. But none of them don't have the balls do to so because it will cost the show precious viewers.

I took it more to mean that there would be references to previous episodes and characters, and references to previous interactions between them as well. Who knows what she meant? I also don't really see why the writers need to clarify that there won't be a relationship when there hasn't been any suggestion that one was possible. If there was some flirting or something like that that could be perceived as romantic chemistry I could understand why you want them to clarify that nothing will happen, but there hasn't been. Why should they have to go to the effort of denying things that are (in my opinion) non existent?
