I agree, the concept is funnier than the execution. Kudos to them trying to make a game funny through the mechanics though rather than just telling jokes. I'm sure it's very hard. They probably tried to balance the fun & funny too much when they should have just leaned hard into making the mechanics funny. That belt-swinging portion could have been a lot more janky and have been much funnier.

I feel like this could have been something. Mechanically this looks solid (things work, the mechanics work fairly well, controls seem intuitive and easy to use), the music is kinda catchy. The Wolfenstein and Doom vibe is always good for an FPS. Even the level design doesn't look bad (with only the one time it got confusing in three levels). This could have been SOMETHING. But either the joke can't be stretched far enough or it just wasn't, something didn't work here. Mixing up the gameplay may have helped, with some kind of snappy minigame or mechanically deeper investigative or role playing thing between FPS levels maybe. Because it's trying to be too witty for an FPS, and it seems to detract from the FPS play.
