So this is his original story. Huh, I kind of prefer the backstory he has in the TV-show. Being stranded on the island due to his ship being sabotaged, and on the island finding other people, both friendly and enemies, not just that he happened to get on an island and teach archery to himself.

Green Arrow is better. Hawkeye is a boring knockoff. Reasons why! 1. Green Arrow debuted first. 2. Green Arrow has better Gadgets. 3. Hawkeye copied the gadget arrows. Hawkeye has suddenly become a great fighter too. 12. Green Arrow don't need powers. Marvel has given Hawkeye powers. Screw attack gave Hawkeye powers to beat Green Arrow which is cheating and completely unfair. 13. Green Arrow has a better origin story. 14. Okay. 1. Hawkeye is blonde. Be quiet if you haven't read his most recent runs by Matt Fraction. I don't know what kind of proof you need, but look up "Clint Barton comic" on google, he's blonde. I don't know what the hell else you want to call this. 2. Green Arrow wears sunglasses in the New 52, which is what I'm referring to. Just look up the new trade paperbacks like Midas Touch. Look at the cover, which, mind you, is the first thing readers see and what draws them in. 3. Okay, now I don't know how ridiculous you're being. Because there, you're not even talking about the old Green Arrow anymore, but you're obviously not talking about the New 52 one, either. The old green Arrow didn't have a hood until pretty recently. Before that, he had a hat that made him look like Robin Hood even more. The New 52 one HAS a hood, he just barely wears it. He doesn't have it in the majority of his covers, and in the comics, he doesn't wear that often.

The show, Arrow, is so awful but Green Arrow is one of my favourite superheroes ever. His origin story is actually my favourite origin story of all time. The fact that he was stranded on an island and had wrestle with his survival instincts and push his limits was very intriguing. I love his wise-cracking personality. I hated that they had to make him like Batman in Arrow. It was so wrong.

That kind of stuff tends to happen when you spend your time in tights fighting crime and not really tended to business. I actually pulled the same thing on a friend of mine when we were playing DC Heroes, his character was your typical millionaire by day super hero by night but the guy really running things ended up using his company to channel funds to the local super villain group the hero character was fighting. His reaction was just hilarious. :)

There was a very important and influential Green Lantern-Green Arrow series from Neal Adams and Denny O'Neil that tackled a lot of current issues in the early 70s, and often beat Marvel at its own game of being hip and topical.

The narrator is referring to the whole "rich person who builds specialized gadgets to fight crime and even makes a car named after himself" (which is pretty much exactly what Batman does)

It actually is a pretty good show, one of the better TV Adaptations of Comic Books Ive seen. Basically he discovers his Dad was into some bad shit and leaves him a book with a list of names of people who preyed on innocent people for personal gain. He then goes after the list and each time says this new catch phrase when confronting them. Also for having 24 episodes in one season they are able to cover a lot of ground and tell an updated origin story. It also has John Barrowman in it = win win.
