This might sound harsh but I think this video could've benefitted from better focus. What is it trying to accomplish? Is it about the story of superhot's development and some random kickstarter supporters? That alone makes up 1/3 of the video. You are likely not going to be a person's first encounter with the game. Assume the viewer of "SuperHot Review" has played superhot. I recognize this might not be what you are trying to aim for, but I found there's very little *review* in this video review. Most of the runtime is just spent restating "What is superhot." "Who made superhot." "This is what superhot looks like" "In superhot you play as superhot and they say "superhot"". First 2:30 and last 30s is pure filler. If your thoughts only make up 2 minutes of runtime, that means you don't really have anything interesting to say about superhot, which means you should go back to the drawing board. The only time you get into the nitty gritty of what the mechanics are trying to accomplish is around 4:30-4:50 . This opinion is the real meat of the video, your interpretation of the game (and I think an interesting insight), and I would love to see that expanded. That's the only value that the video really has, rather than just restating the wikipedia article. I'm subscribing because i liked the 1 morsel of insight, and would love to see you improve. Just looking at your channel you're clearly passionate about games so I think you would enjoy some honest, actionable feedback.

First off, thank you. These are some harsh but true words. I appreciate them. I don't often get constructive criticism and any time I have it has made me better as a writer and editor. I think I ended up creating something with far more style than substance here. A celebration of Superhot rather than a review. That was obviously not my intention. Because you are right, I am not adding anything to the discourse with this video. Realistically I should have spent more time on the script, but I was also trying to shove something out the door ASAP. On the backend another review exploded in popularity because the game had a free weekend. Like went to multiple thousands of views overnight. I wanted to try and take advantage of the algorithm bump to the detriment of the video. Lesson learned there. Views are temporary. A bad video is forever.
