@scottaltham61896 ай бұрын
All I'd say is that spark email does pretty much the exact same thing as superhuman (its fast, its clean, allows split, has ai, keyboard shortcuts, snoozing, swipe actions, marking as done and can gatekeep your emails) but for a hell of a lot less money per month (effectively 5 a month vs 30)
@efficientapp5 ай бұрын
We've found them to be quite different in more specific ways. Spark is good for individuals, but when truly working with a team, Superhuman is a better experience. We actually did a full comparison on our site here: efficient.app/compare/superhuman-vs-spark If the cost is a major concern though then I get it. That said, for a business to justify the extra $25/mo is a no-brainer in the time savings in our experience.

@mr.octopus-plag25 күн бұрын
Agree with the comments on Spark lacking some features but there are others I’m not seeing in Superhuman that are great, main one is grouping by sender. This feature only tied me with Spark, too many emails suddenly turning into just a few groups of emails! Dozens of Amazon emails? Done, all archived in one click. AI summary improved every day and give me different ways of doing it. It’s more than enough for me as a better email service, and as I’m working with only two accounts. It’s also super fast. I can’t justify to myself spending 30 bucks per month while Spark is already in my Setapp account, zero extra costs.

I’d love a video on your whole tech stack as I’ve watched many of your videos. So far I see Motion and Superhuman, but I wonder what else. As an agency owner with multiple different hats and team members, time really matters.
@efficientapp10 ай бұрын
That's a great idea for a video! We're trying to work through some of our backlog based on questions that people were asking at the time (e.g. how does your team set up and use Motion? How does Motion compare to Reclaim?), so that would explain why you're seeing that. That said, to mentally prepare you, we do have another Motion video coming out in a couple weeks answering the "how did you set up Motion" that has been in the works for over a month now (scripting, recording, screen recordings, it has been a lot of work). You missed Copper CRM from the list actually (our stack), this video covers that one efficient.yt/crm - But if you want the full list, you can actually find it on the website here (realizing the page is a bit hidden atm): efficient.app/stacks/efficient Working on migrating our stack to our other site actually where we document more software stacks for companies, but it's missing a few tools that we use: stacks.efficient.app/apps/efficient-app But we'll keep this comment pinned and think about how we can do a video around this... spoiler is that we use a LOT of tools internally for different thing. Most would be shocked to learn, but there's a place for each tool, I promise! 😅 This comment means a lot to us, appreciate you checking out many of our videos, it's super encouraging to read. Excited to see you around more and hope the above helps! Happy to answer any specific questions you might have right here in the comments! Also we might talk more about our stack and software we're impressed by in our newsletter here: efficient.app/access See you around! 👋

Hey hey! Yep, so I use Superhuman on Android (Andra uses Superhuman on iOS), so you actually get both sides with us 😁 I've had no major issues with Superhuman on Android though, it's near identical to the iOS app and they've done a good job with it. Unlike what most companies do (using React Native and shared codebase), it seems they built native for both Android and iOS, so yeah, it's a great experience. Your best bet though would be to just grab a free 30 day trial here: efficient.link/r/superhuman (make sure it has code EFFICIENT at checkout, as that'll give you a free 30 days), and see for yourself. What you're describing is more the use-case of a help desk. Haha we hear you! I don't know, I just couldn't get into Hey, it feels a bit too cartoon-y, big buttons/interface, and feels slower in using on the day-to-day. Maybe for more personal usage it could be okay, but for business usage, more just want to get in and out quickly, leveraging speed and shortcuts. What is it that you're missing most from Superhuman since switching to Hey? And is it just for personal usage? Or business usage too?
@JujoOfficial10 ай бұрын
@@efficientapp Oh yes, I agree! The cartoon-y design and how slow it is are by far the biggest drawbacks. I actually use a mix of Hey & HubSpot for business, so what I’m missing the most from Superhuman is definitely the speed, shortcuts & AI. What I love about Hey is the focus on privacy and the fact that I feel much more in control of my inbox, it’s also much cheaper 😂 I really thought that Superhuman’s speed would solve my problems, but unfortunately it didn’t really help me deal with my emails, it just made it faster to go through the mountains of junk I get everyday. I think that what I really want from my emails is to simply not have a ton of random bs and be able to focus on what really matters to me.
@efficientapp10 ай бұрын
Sounds like you my friend actually need more of a tool like Mailman - efficient.link/r/mailman or Inbox Zero - efficient.link/r/inbox-zero to help solve your email junk problem from right within Gmail/Superhuman instead of using a totally separate tool. That said, the problem will always be that the best tools integrate with Gmail/Google Workspace, they will never integrate with Hey, so you're actually giving up quite a bit of future integration potential by using something like Hey. Same with tools like Motion, they need to connect into your Google Workspace/Gmail/Outlook/iCloud account to use the calendar, so you're giving up being able to even really use those tools effectively when you choose something like Hey. There's a lot you're giving up, and I don't see any of these tools integrating with Hey (they don't even have an API available, and knowing the team behind them, don't see that coming any time soon if ever). So it's more about "who is the ICP (ideal customer profile) of Hey?" and that it's really not business owners or founders at all.

@efficientapp7 ай бұрын
Yep, you got it! So they are referred to as Labels, so create a new label (CMD + K) then type "Create Label", from there type the label name. If you'd like to create a sub-label (subfolder) you'd simply add a / for the next level and that'll create the subfolder. e.g. Support/Unresolved would be a folder called "Unresolved" inside of the "Support" folder. Does that help?

This is always the same story with privacy-first providers such as Tutanota or Proton. I personally have the latter for my core email account (the important one) and would not go back to Gmail, but sometimes it really is frustrating. Due to zero-knowledge encryption, it’s either a bridge that manages encryption-decryption, or the available mail client that the provider has. In case of Proton it’s a decently good application, but the calendar app just sucks. Always remember that the more privacy and security measures you include into your workflow, the more inconvenient it gets. Sad but true. Wish there was a middle ground.

Then, there are those of us 'retiree's' that have to watch our budgets, so 'free' is our only choice unfortunately. I find $30. to be overzealous, no matter how helpful it is, as retiree's do tend to have time to go through our barrage of e-mail, it's just that we don't like to do so. I tend to do the copy/paste where I can delete e-mails in bunches, as most are ad related, or something I wanted to look at online, but you had to give your e-mail to go any further on a particular site. So, then there is the 'unsubscribe' feature, of which I make good use of, which works for most, but not all. Thanks for your own great video, but this is one I'll have to pass on, when there are many other free alternatives, including Mac Mail app, at least in my case.

Hahaha believe us, we are in the same boat... We use Superhuman but also Copper. On the plus side, they are still friends! Well, in that emails sent from Superhuman (e.g. Gmail in the background) still sync over to Copper & folk no problem (and vice-versa). All you're missing is the Gmail sidebar functionality for Copper and folk within Gmail. As much as we love that for people, we have found that we enjoy Superhuman more than we like the sidebar functionality of folk and Copper. So it's okay! You can be like us and use both! If you're to even be considering folk or Copper as your ideal CRM, then going with a CRM that Superhuman integrates with (e.g. Salesforce or what's coming soon 👀 AKA another CRM we don't recommend), you're going to be making the wrong CRM decision for your business which is a worse decision to make. So yeah, use Superhuman and folk/Copper, we fully support it!
