@@toolfinderhq perhaps a poor choice of words: it’s operational, but the most recent reviews from 2024 (at least on the App Store) indicate they aren’t getting support from customer service, lack of development, several mail fetching issues in terms of delays or not getting messages at all. It’s even worse on the Google Play store. If this is alive then I would hate to see what dead is.
@ohheyandre9 ай бұрын
@@waynekelly11not sure if my comment got deleted? But yeah that’s what everyone on the app stores are saying. It’s not dead as in there’s an existing app you can download, but it’s definitely not alive. Bad/no sync, no customer support / service, subscriptions getting renewed even after cancellation. On both App Store and Google play store all the reviews are horrible
@morfoto8 ай бұрын
@@toolfinderhq It may have "come alive again" but it has so many issues; Gmail syncs intermittently, in-line attachments don't display, autopopulating email addresses from contacts hasn't worked in months, and support is non-existent. I've done everything possible to keep using Newton, but stumbled onto this video and was truly shocked to Newton being recommended.

I like Proton Mail. It's incredibly important to have at least one privacy focused email regardless of your profession. Of this list though I do really love Spark feature wise. Great integration with Todoist, too. I use Spark for personal stuff where privacy isn't a concern.

@devoywilliams3956 not with that attitude. There are plenty of browsers, extensions, search engines, etc. That are dedicated to privacy, some of these are Brave (browser and search engine) Vivaldi, Zen Browser (built off of Firefox), AdNauseam (ad and tracker blocker built off of uBlock Origin), I still don't care about cookies (blocks invasive cookies), and loads more. These are just the ones that I use or have used. You can also use privacy respecting operating systems and utilize physical hardware to increase online privacy, such as Fedora Linux and setting up a Raspberry Pi as a PiHole (Raspberry Pi is a single board computer, and PiHole is a network level tool). PiHole blocks ads, trackers, and more, not only online, but also on streaming services like Netflix and Hulu.

Newton, if you can get it to actually work, always had such a clean interface. It was a great writing experience. Unfortunately, it's not supported anymore, it crashes, doesn't sync well, search sucks, and essentially misses emails. It was my favorite email app for years until it got sold, bought, sold again, and now lying in a closet somewhere connected to the world but forgotten. I don't think the current owners know what they could be sitting of if they dusted it off and gave it some attention.

I've Tried all the ones everyone says are the best, and they are terrible. Why has it become so hard just to get emails? Why have the Democrats Destroyed Everything? All I want to do is see my email. Why was it so easy 15 years ago. but now it's almost impossible?
