Mind blowing tutorial on the Mixer. Wish there was further explanation breakdown on the usage for Mic [blue], Bus [orange] and Output [red] out of the gate especially for new users. Apparently the Red Outputs are used for Exporting 1 Stereo file or multiple Audio Outputs. The granular control is impressive.

Wow. Having the ability to create your own tracks to route in x-drums is a god send. Is it possible to include the bleed from the other channels of the original kit into the newly created x-drum track?

i have cross graded from EZD2. i love the capabilities of SD3 in particular the mixing capabilities. However i still want to process some of the tracks in my DAW. I'm struggling to send each of the multichannel tracks to their own channel in Logic Pro. The way i would do it with EZD2 literally took 2 minutes. is there a quick way to set this up?

Great video! Forgive my ignorance…Does Tracker come with Superior 3? Or, is it an add-on? I’m currently on the fence in choosing between SD3/Tracker and Drumagog for drum replacement; I’d welcome any suggestions or thoughts from anyone on which they feel is the better choice, and why, and would be grateful to those who would take the time to comment! Thanks! 😊🙏

Is there a way to add extra bleed to user mic? I've added a separate channel for the ride and I'd like to make some instrument (for example, the floor tom) bleed into it.

Can we use the effects and plugins in our DAW outside of the SD or is it tied just to SD and that's it?
@sagarthapa37655 жыл бұрын
You can add on the same channel SD is on but they will be applied in the fashion of top down mixing, so you can change the overall of SD but not specific parts of it. If you listen to the end of the video, you have the ability to bounce everything and then you can do anything you want.

Did you ever get any answer to this? I am wondering the same thing. The other reply on your quesiton didn't get what you meant, I think. Maybe to refrase: Will we be able to use those plugins on any thing we like in our daws? Maybe use the transient designer on a piano that we recorded? If those plugins are standalone as well, this is a crazy deal. It would be best value for money ever.

Can SD3 receive audio from other plugins within the DAW to go through the mixer?
@Trackformers3 жыл бұрын
No.. Just samples.. Its sample based software

HOW DO I ADD ANOTHER TRACK ??!?!?! Like, I want to add a track for reverb send!!! I CANNOT FIND "ADD TRACK" BUTTON ANYWHERE!!!
@toontrack2 жыл бұрын
Hi. In the Mixer tab there is a button saying "Edit Visibility - Show All Channels" That will bring up all available buses and outputs in the Superior Drummer 3 mixer.
@yiannismanopoulos Жыл бұрын
You send your selected channel to a bus via the "effects" section of the channel, and then that bus channel will appear automatically. Then you can rename it to "Reverb" or else you prefer!

In a way, this is the most powerful and complete way to handle a drum sound. In another way, if you are not a sound engineer with 200 gigs to spare, it's overkill. What most people need is a simple drumset with good sounds, already premixed, which will occupy 1/100 of the HD space and memory while giving a better result. I wonder if the average user would go and check if the phase of the bottom snare is flipped, for example :) Don't get me wrong, it's a superb work, but maybe you are forgetting about average users, which are musicians, not engineers. And, yes, I know there will be "presets" to help, but that would not solve the fact that with that approach you could have a premixed library, 2 gigs tops, irrelevan RAM use.
@toontrack7 жыл бұрын
Hi, We have that too. Its called EZdrummer 2. www.toontrack.com/product/ezdrummer-2/ All sounds are pre-mixed, it has much of the same song writing tools, and its fast and easy to use.
@jerryb.70217 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are plenty of other products that are not as in depth such as ezdrummer2. Superior drummer 3 is for people like me, who like to take the time to edit something to exactly how they want it to sound and who enjoy doing it!

@@toontrack I was just going to say the same. :D I started with EZD2 and it was not enough for me. SD gives more options to someone who wants more flexibility. I am a drummer that wan't to do my own stuff but I don't have access to big studio to record drums. SD allows me to do all recordings at home.

@@toontrack or you could buy sd3 and it would work just as good and fast as ezd2 and with the options to t have the ultimate pro sound and endless possibilities !!!
