I loved this movie. Jennifer does in my opinion, just as good of an acting performance that Tom Hanks did in "Big." Her ability to convey Jenna's innocence is amazing and you can really see the child in her despite the adult body. Just a really warm hearted love story and an underrated movie.

My daughter had one of these childhood friends. We'd always listen to all of his drama. Then after high school. My daughter had the drama and wanted to talk to him about it. All of a sudden now he's not available. When there were 4 years of high school she could have met other people, but it was always him around all the time as the "Friend". I think he was hurt settling with his fiancé. You could tell that he was making a bit of sacrifices for her. Like them moving to Chicago for her job. He didn’t want to do that but went along with it. Like he was content but deep down he knew that he would’ve been much happier with Jenna. But Matt was a good guy who wanted to do “the right thing” i guess and stand by the woman he already proposed to.
