Love the different emotions this version brings out vs the original. Original is up tempo and has almost a manic pace; which I interpret as representing the constant and almost manic thoughts someone with “sucker love” has. You think about a thousand things a minute - all related to the object of your infatuation - do they love me? What does this mean? Why didn’t the call back? Who are they talking to? etc. It’s a constant action packed roller coaster which is what the original is pace-wise. This version is still great and stripping it down gives it almost a forlorn and morose feeling. Much sadder than the original - almost as if it’s post-breakup and you are dealing with the aching of loss. Same lyrics but totally different meaning which means it’s an amazing song.

Sucker love is heaven sent You pucker up, our passion's spent My heart's a tart, your body's rent My body's broken, yours is bent Carve your name into my arm Instead of stressed, I lie here charmed 'Cause there's nothing else to do Every me and every you Sucker love, a box I choose No other box I choose to use Another love I would abuse No circumstances could excuse In the shape of things to come Too much poison come undone 'Cause there's nothing else to do Every me and every you Every me and every you Every me Sucker love is known to swing Prone to cling and waste these things Pucker up for heaven's sake There's never been so much at stake I serve my head up on a plate It's only comfort, calling late 'Cause there's nothing else to do Every me and every you Every me and every you Every me Every me and every you Every me Like the naked leads the blind I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind Sucker love I always find Someone to bruise and leave behind All alone in space and time There's nothing here but what here's mine Something borrowed, something blue Every me and every you Every me and every you Every me Every me and every you Every me Every me and every you Every me Every me and every you Every me Every me and every you Every me Every me and every you

I always get a psalm-like vibe from it, and I do enjoy it even though I consider myself atheist. This version is very different from any other version of the song. I feel like it direct towards something peaceful/relieving/transcendental, almost messianic (as a spirit, not talking about the actual religious myth). Good work. I’m really looking forward to their next album, which hopefully is not too far.

What's the name of the female singer? I can't hear exactly what Molko says as he introduces her. I love her voice. Not many (almost no one) is worthy of singing a duet with Molko, but she sure is. I need to explore her Music, but I first have to Catch the name... EDIT: Nevermind, I found. Majke Voss Romme.
