The referee called a knock down (which is not very solid but within rules anyway) and on score card it has to go to superlek. No body’s fault - rematch is needed to decide who’s the bigger brother. His kicking is superlative- he was very lucky to score a knockdown against Rodtang, however. It was a fair knockdown, but the only reason he won that fight against a smaller opponent. I'm a big Superlek fan but he's not currently the best Muay Thai fighter...

The athletes themselves NEVER cry about the decisions whether it's Rodtang or Jo or whoever. They knew the rules of the sports. If they want to win without relying on the judges, they need to get a KO or KDs. (And for a record, Superlek did get a KD in this match which resulted in him winning) The only people whining and crying are you snowflake crybabies.

Takeru mentioned after the fight that he felt a minor structural damage in his knee when he checked superlek’s first kick. He chose to receive the kicks on his thigh instead of risking his knee so that he could standup the whole fight and also to not to end his career.
