The odds were against Mini T in every way in this fight. Props to him, but Superlek showed such an exciting performance. Much better than his last fight. Can't wait for the Superlek v Rodtang fight.

Definitely a lesson for anyone training. I see all the high-level strikers on social media work the pads and sparring, they're constantly dropping their guard. They keep this bad habit going and then get ko'd as a result come fight time. It doesn't matter how technical or experienced you are, if your opponent sees you dropping your guard they're going to take advantage of it.

Looking forward to seeing him face Rodtang but it has to be under muaythai rules. Makes no sense having 2 muaythai fighters face each other in kickboxing.

@@crabluva Yeah but under Muay Thai rules they can truly take advantage of the full range of skills they have (e.g. clinching, catching kicks, sweeps, elbows, etc.)

@@crabluva Because they're muaythai fighters. That's their sport. It's what they've been doing for hundreds of fights. Kickboxing is too limited. They cant use all their weapons. They only compete in Kickboxing occasionally because some of their none thai opponents don't want to face them under muaythai rules.

​@@prometheus6898 Superlek beat Ilias Ennahachi and Daniel Puertas while Rodtang beat Tenshin and Yuki. Both Superlek and Rodtang have enough of a resume to be called top tier Kickboxer. Why can't they fight each other in Kickboxing ? Knowing that ONE FC is gonna make them rematch in Muay Thai ? It's also an opportunity to make Rodtang a double champion.

Superleks technique is really good and he's super athletic. That high round kick was there for him throughout the fight. The side kick off the missed round kick is a neat little trick, people might laugh at it or whatever, but it's because they can't pull it off. It's not a knockout technique or anything, but it's just about enough to keep the opponent at bay. Wonderboy has good success with it too.

So glad I found Varga’s channel. I’m new to the sport, just joined a Muay Thai gym, Varga’s tips have been awesome. I will say anybody thinking about going rounds without the proper training is in for a hard reality check. Best to learn how to react to getting clinched up before your exhibition match so you don’t get a ticket to the all you can eat buffet of knees.
