S&L is the most iconic, realistic, superior DC/DCU live-action to date. The Superman-Doomsday S3 E2 was nothing less than epic, and Doomsday ripping out Superman"s heart was a super Climax comparable to nothing I can compare ever in movies & TV shows. BUT it wasn't done yet: An even MORE epic event happened when General Lane sacrificed himself to Doomsday after injecting himself with blood-serum from the dead Superman so Superman could be reborn with Lane's heart pumping a Superman-derived Kryptonian-blood serum. Lane's recorded speech of him always loving his family and that he will be in every heartbeat of a reborn Superman as he fights Doomsday again....put a tear in my eye. I am going to binge S&L from S1 E1 to date. S&L got me HOOKED. Best live-action SUPERMAN arc Ever......

Best Superman to date. The show is a big-hearted, dorky, goofy slice of the best of America. Just like the titular character himself. I especially appreciate how Superman refused to prioritise the USA over any other country where his rescue missions are concerned. Also, any show that has a Jesus and Mary Chain needle-drop is ok by me!

So it wasn't Smallville alone that violated canon. 1. Bizarro isn't Doomsday. 2. Steel (aka John Henry Irons) doesn't die without joining the Justice League. 3. There is no Jordan Kent. There is only Jonathan Kent.
