MOS was incredible, I was born in the early 80s, I was raised on Reeves and Keaton but superman never felt real just a comic book on screen, MOS grounded the character and made him feel real it was an amazing movie. WB then refused to allow MOS2 to be made as they wanted Batman included as soon as possible. BVS Ultimate Edition was also a really good movie, and then with WW and Zack Synder Justice League we could of had something very very special but for some reason the studio decided to get involved and destroy what we could of had. I personally won’t give Gunn a penny as his comments on kids turned me off him for life, but I hope others enjoy his vision and the DCU to come. 👍David will no doubt crush it as Superman best of luck to him.

Honestly, since Superman seems to have been wrecked and helped by his dog, and the fact that there's so many F-ing superheroes in the film...it wouldn't surprise me if at some point of the film, Superman noticed that he needed help from most if not all of them, almost as in "We are The Flash" kind of way, which is gonna make my eyes roll into oblivion. In a movie about Superman, he shouldn't need anyone to defeat the villains, he's freakin' Superman.

Captain America was invented as a way to increase morale in America during WW2, but it wasn’t used as a mouthpiece for Stan Lee to say whatever he personally wanted to say. It was a story first, that just happened to have politics in it. Modern movies are completely overhauled to be used as giant talking pieces for the director. Superman helping the government, X-men politics about racism and Cap Winter Soldier being politically driven aren’t the same as James Gunn deciding to say “yeah actually, Superman is America now”. It makes no sense.

Super man and comics are always political and seeing people not realize that is hilarious. But I agree that it's bizarre for the industry to keep telling us what the movie WILL be about instead of just letting us wait. But on the other side, people demand to know more about a movie before it comes out too. Speculations, assumptions, etc can change how a film is received. Especially in this digital age. For me, I watch a trailer, and wait for the film. I can't be chuffed to obsess over every word people say about a film. I'm more annoyed that it doesn't come out until JULY and we have to hear all the complainers, fans, and bots whinge about it until then. I am looking forward to a decent Lex Luther portrayal though. Eisenberg was awful.

I feel like this is the new way of promoting films unfortunately. They did it for The Batman as well. There were articles for like six months explaining way too much about how characters will be portrayed, etc. It felt like WB were tying to get fans/audiences 'ready' for the film before it was released. I have no idea how people who are actually hyped for James Gunn's Superman will keep their level of of enthusiasm, because I have grown exhausted seeing all the updates. I'm a huge fan of the Synderverse and I think his DC movies, eapecially BvS is a misunderstood masterpiece. Cavill IS Superman to me. Affleck is the best Batman. I loved Jesse's take on Lex. That is the universe I was all in on. That being said, my love of Superman comes before any director or actor. I'm loyal to the character. I think some people are going to far wanting this to fail and it makes me question what exactly they are more a fan of. Look, Gunn bothers the hell out of me. He got fired from Disney for a specific reason, and that reason is heinous. I'm not a fan of GOTG and I thought Brightburn was pretty disappointing. I have no loyalty to him. But, my fear is that if this movie fails, we won't see another Superman movie, or TV show for another decade or more. And of course that shouldn't be a reason to support a bad movie, if it's bad.
