I remember Terence Stamp talking about one of the more subtle ways he wanted to show Zod regarding everyone he met as being completely beneath him, was to have him deliberately not quite look them directly in the face, he does it a few times with different characters & it's brilliant. When I first saw the movie, I couldn't help but smile when Superman tricked him into thinking he had lost all his powers. Terence Stamp REALLY delivered as Zod. Even though Terence was in the first Superman film for only a few minutes, he shone in it, especially for the defiant speech he gives Marlon Brando: *"You will bow down before me! First you, and then one day, your heirs!"* So, technically, that was his comeback film. But *"Superman II"* was his full on comeback. Gave gravitas to a character that was nothing like the version in the DC Comics. Terence Stamp made that character better.

Of course, if Stamp had been Thufir, Villanueve probably would have still cut him him out of Dune 2.
