Just a mention, I have just recently been informed in the comments, thank you Supergirl Video Clips, about my mistake on the new casting of Supergirl and how that's the casting for the DCEU. I will admit, I didn't look very far into the news once I found out lol I was kind of sad that Melissa wasn't gonna be Supergirl, even if Kara ends up making an appearance in this show. So yeah, that's my bad haha

The first costume shown was from the Fleisher Superman animated series. And the shot where he was catching the green car was from Adventure Comics #1 where he first shows up

Yeah I noticed the suit, I remember watching the cartoon when I was younger. It was cool seeing it, and it looked so good! I just forgot that suit and the kingdom come suit were different suits until I looked it up again haha I didn't know about the comic reference though, but I've heard about it. I love when they do stuff like that. I wish I had read more comics before and had gotten the reference when it came up.

@@stevenbaker107 me too, I wasn't expecting to get so immediately attached to the boys haha and even though we barely had time with this Martha, that was so emotional. I think, at least for me, a big part of it was having watched Smallville and getting so attached to the parents. And this version seemed like such a sweet and loving mother. She reminded me of my Nana.

My theory is that Captain Luther is possibly a hero from a world where Superman was the evil. The ending was a cool touch as Superman lost their battle, but goes home with a family and a happy ending with sunset. While luthor goes back to his ship all alone, in the middle of nowhere In the mountains. The score when he was walking on the snow was a very sad lonely tone. I think they’re gonna flesh him out

Yeah, I've heard a couple people discuss that theory. I didn't think about that, but that'd be a cool twist. Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate are definitely a great driving force for wanting to take out another Earths version. And he did say "Superman" with a certain emphasis. I thought it was more him saying how little that name means. But maybe it's because he knew him by a different name. And yeah you're right, I didn't notice that. Dang, this show is so good!

I saw a theory that could be true that the Superman from the Lex on this show's earth was bad and he destroyed his earth or Lex thought he did. Lex being good might be how the bad Lex gets taken down.

Yeah I've heard about the possibility of this Lex being a good version, like on Crisis on Two Earths. I'm a little upset I didn't think about that haha so he basically dealt with Ultraman. Which may have been why he emphasized Superman's name. Maybe. But he did seem to be talking about his earths version as someone trying to fit in.

This pilot was well done but it made me feel really down cos of the vibe. Also, i hate that we never saw Tyler play Clark earlier on or at least at the daily planet or something, cos he never got to show off how good he was in Supergirl. Hes good as both Superman and Clark and it sucks we dont get to see him in that way imo. Now hes pro, father superman. Anyway, sorry to be negative cos it was actually well done given the circumstances of how the character was used. Glad people are enjoying it though. Of course ill keep giving it a shit.

Yeah I get that, it would've been fun to see him play the goofy, nerdy aspect of Clark. I did like his scene in the beginning when he first met Lois. I feel like he drew aspects of Christopher Reeves Clark, and he pulled it off so well. But I'm also enjoying (also hating lol) the emotional beats of this show and Tyler's performance, especially that scene when he's struggling just to go through door of his mom's bedroom. Yeeesh. Rough.

The jury is still out for me. I will say it was beautifully filmed. I mean, you can see the money they are putting into it. My concern is where they are going to take the story. I don’t want to see too many side stories about the kids like not fitting in etc. I don’t want this to be some sort of teen angst drama. That will be a big drawback for me. Time will tell, I guess.

Is it the lighting? The table? The notes? I literally just have it setup that way because it's the most comfortable to me, and I like the way it looks. The lighting is so it's not just my bland colored wall. The notes is so I can remember any points I may want to talk about that I don't cover initially. I'm not copying them. I don't say what they say during discussion, I don't watch their videos before recording my own then copy what they say. I'm not copying them.
