Makes sense since Johnathan was the physically stronger one, and almost didnt let anything get to him untill he broke down... Whwre as jordan was the emotional one and always thought he was physically weaker than Johannaton so when he was threatned to be crushed his powers kicked in.. still he was mentally emotional so his powers came in slowly

The more calm someone tends to be, the greater is the reaction when the person finally breaks. It happened with my dad once who's the calmest collected guy i ever knew, but when he got scammed after months of a phone company making his life a hell, he broke... cussed at them with actual cuss words (My dad NEVER cusses, specially ppl and directly to them), punched the table... bc he's so calm that when he couldn't take anymore, that was the reaction. I totally related. (Fun fact about this story... we just had hired a new maid and she was terrified of my dad bc this was one of her first impressions of him. When my mom defended him saying that this was a maaaassive exception and that that my dad was extremely calm in general... she was like "of course you're defending your crazy husband". It took months for her to actually understand, since that was the first impression... that this was not what my dad was like. I am 27 and that was the only time in my life i've seen my dad act like that)

Re: taking the glasses off-I give Tyler all credit as an actor. His set of countenance and demeanor visibly settled into Superman’s, more confident and serious. So it wasn’t just the absence of glasses that caused Sam to recognize him. I appreciated your insights into the progress of Sam’s character. I will really miss Sam! Whereas I knew Superman was going to be killed, I was not at all expecting Sam to die, especially after his life was saved in the first episode. The writers did a good job of misdirection concerning what Sam wanted the serum for. His death and Lois’ reaction hit me hard-along with the reference to promising her he’d always be brave. After Tyler and Bitsy, Dylan was my favorite actor on the show. They gave the character a most worthy sendoff, revealing at the end whom the title “Always my Hero” was actually referring to.

Its wild that Jonathan getting powers was like the 3rd biggest OMG moment of the episode. I also find it funny that he gets them just 1 episode after Lex learned he didnt have powers......I am sure that will come up down the line where Lex has a plan that only works with Clark & Jordan having powers.

I think for me this has been a journey of what makes a hero: the person or the powers? Jordan got his powers early and has spent 3 seasons trying to master them and trying to be a hero with the support of his parents, grandpa, and Jonathan. Jonathan has spent 3 seasons trying to mature into a better person who can help in other ways, from working with JHI, to losing his way, to finding his own stride and maturity, before he got his powers. I think if Jonathan had gotten his powers early, he would have gone the way of Bizarro!Jon because it would have been too easy for him (he's always been a natural at everything he tries), but now he knows what it's like to be small while surrounded by giants. What is interesting to me is how the boys face adversity. Jonathan faces and accepts his failures, as we've seen time and again, and he works to overcome them because he has an inner resiliency that his brother lacks. Jordan... crumbles. He hasn't found his own inner strength, he's been too reliant on powers to give him something special but it's made him mentally and emotionally weaker.

I watched every episode of every series in the Arrowverse….everything else DC and Marvel….and my favorite comic book show will probably always be Smallville, but Superman and Lois is an easy second place. Jordan will most likely die by the series end or lose his powers. He always tries to do the right thing but mostly for the wrong reasons. He wants to save people because he wants to be seen as an equal to his father. He loves the fame that is thrown at him. He felt special that he had powers, but his brother didn't. When he made mistakes he would get frustrated and doubles down. Jonathan was always humbled by his errors. He tried to be defined by his actions and choices and not how others would like to see him. He wants to save people so they won't go through the pains he suffered. And because he's now with superpowers he feels he has a moral obligation and duty to protect people. He hits all the marks of the next heir to the Superman mantle.

If you really think about it, Johnathan needed to get powers......in the Comic Johnathan is the one who has powers, of course in the comics there is no Jordan. AND, the Show needed Johnathan to get powers because they need to Destroy Doomsday and they need all the SUPER POWER they can muster to do that, and well, Giving Johnathan Powers, now they have THREE Super powered people to go up against Doomsday plus John Henry Irons and Natalie with their super powered suits. So basically 5 super powered people against 1 Doomsday. That just might stop him. Then of Course they have to deal with Lex, and I think he will either be killed or sent to Arkham or whatever maximun security prison this show uses. AND I think Lex's Daughter is going to aid in sending him away again.

These last 3 episodes have really hit home with me, especially after losing my father back in May this year 😢 I've always been on the fence with Jonathan getting superpowers in the show, I kind like the idea he could have been given temporary Superpowers like he did in Season 2 with X-Kryptonite... but more potent that it gives him the same powers. However at the end of the Season once the bad guys are defeated, he's given the choice of having the powers permanently or going back to being human. He chooses his humanity and decides he doesn't want the Superhero life.

My guess is clark and his sons fight and kill doomsday. Clark gradually starts to lose his abilities as the altered heart starts to gradually become human again. I'm glad that Superman is back, but I wish that they used his actual heart to resurrect Clark. Maybe he may still have to have his actual heart back so he can have his powers be at full strength. If his heart was stepped on by Lex, perhaps the serum can permanently fix Clark's actual heart and then put his actual heart back in Clark's body. But it's my guess it unfortunately won't happen that way, I hope I'm wrong. I know they're putting their own spin on the death of Superman story, but this is the only time I have ever heard of Superman having any kind of transplant.

i've got mixed feelings about Jon getting powers. I like that they both have them but I mourn Team Human. Poor Lois is now the only non-powered one in her family. I also feel like the way it happened in this episode was a bit rushed but I get we only have 10 episodes so we have to maximize it. I also wonder if it isn't that Jon wasnt emotional until now because he has been in plenty of life or death situations that would have triggered it but I think this is the first time he has touched the space ship so maybe the ship and the crystal activated something in him.

"People see what they wanted to see" - Clark to Lana when revealing his identity. But it's not just his glasses, but his mannerism. As Clark Kent, he's more dorky, more talkative, and more nervous. As Superman, he has a more confident air around him. Also, I mean, Henry Cavill did go to movie theaters when his movies were showing, and nobody even recognized him, either. So it's actually not that hard to believe.

@@deleila_charlie2068 Actually in an issue of "Superman" from the late 70's they actually gave an explanation for the glasses and the secret identity. Superman had the ability of "super-hypnotism" and even when he wasn't consciously trying to use it he subconsciously made people see him as looking different when he was Clark. His glasses, which were made from glass from his ship, amplified the effect of this "super-hypnotism". This explanation was later abandoned, but they did have an explanation at one point.

In nearly every conflict he's been apologised to and comforted, even when he broke his brother's arm and nearly killed someone. Genuinely, have we been watching a different show? @wheres_the_conspiracy when they decided to move to Metropolis Jonathan lashed out at him. When his super hearing was acting up, he lashed out at him again. This is consistent when Jonathan feels self-righteous all of his pent-up resentment towards his brother comes out.

Seriously? The vast majority of reaction videos on KZbin to TV shows and movies have spoilers. If I were you, if the thumbnail has the word "reaction" in it, assume there are going to be spoilers.
