This is what these shows should aspire to be, it’s more then just a super hero show, it’s a family drama, every character has a part to play, this entire season feels like the greatest Superman content that we’ve ever had, now…. I’m just impatiently awaiting season 2

I think what works so well is how the drama is handled on this show versus other cw shows in other shows some of the arguments are so stupid and shouldn’t even be happening and sometimes the argument ruins the character because they’re fighting for something they normally wouldn’t but on this show you understand every side of the drama and instead of unnecessary yelling they sit down and they talk like families should

If they had a shot of just random people in different cities looking up when he screamed "Jordan!!" would've given it even more emotion. I really believe Tyler Hoechlin is the definitive Superman, I'm not just saying that because I have recency bias. I'm saying it because the way he portrays the character really really well in the show, and I think I'm gonna have to definitely give credit to the writing because Tyler's Superman was completely b**ch made in the Supergirl series, but credit also has to go to his acting chops. The moment I knew he was the definitive Superman for me was when he was being really compassionate with Jordan right before he had to burn all the Kryptonite out of his son's system. Christopher Reeves as iconic as he is as Superman, looking back on it now the portrayal is a little one note also kind of campy, and as much as I used to really like Henry's Superman he's actually too stoic and serious for me, Tyler in Superman & Lois got it right.

@PurpleOwlAnimation yeah I know that but I don't really think that matters in the CWverse Superboy Prime in his simplest form is just an an evil Superboy or Superman. Superboy Prime is from Earth Prime which is the CW Earth so it easily works retconning him for the show as one of the twins. I personally like the idea of Jonathan being the evil one since he's just been handed L after L I could see him getting fed up, but Jordan makes the most sense considering his past. Jonathan being Prime and not Superboy would be a good twist on what we're expecting him to be, tragic, but good nonetheless.

I'm trusting the writers to flesh out Natalie in a multi-dimensional way without falling into repeating the John Irons/Superman story from this season. It will be interesting to see the dynamic that's built with Lois, Jordan and Jonathon. So is Lois's first article in season 2 going to be about how polygamy should be legalised in Smallville ;)

I so, so, so badly want this to keep being this good as it goes on. I agree with pretty much everything you guys said here....FWIW, I think the issue with Jordan telling Sarah is that it's not just his secret - it's revealing his father's secret too. I think she'd absolutely be cool about it, but at this point I don't think he can or would make that choice without Clark's blessing. (I also REALLY want Lana to find out. I’m glad they didn’t make everything into a set up for a joke like the other CW shows. I’m not saying that’s bad, but I like it better when they don’t imo lol I wish we could get a Superman/Clark in the DCEU. I love Henry Cavill and Man of Steel, but he’s just not as hopeful and “truth, justice, and the American way,” he doesn’t come off as a big blue boyscout unfortunately. We never really got a few of how they world felt about him besides negative moments. We had moments of hope, but not as well as this show.

I think what helped this show alot was a shorten season cgi got the right attention with a long season your budget could effect that plus this show proved you don't need 23 episodes to help smaller characters development 15 episodes seasons is more than enough to tell the story

Gotta say, I loved this finale, but I loved it even more while watching your reaction. So I'm already looking forward to next season AND your reactions. Edit: Why do all reactors seem to blank on poor Chrissy's name? Pretty much everyone is like, "The Gazette girl, what's her name?"

Season one was sweet. I enjoyed this show so much, and they did Superman right. Having John Henry Irons was awesome as well. I was worried about the sons, but they grew on me really quickly. The action was great and well filmed. Everyone did a phenomenal job on this show.

Not only was it a shock for Natalie to see Lois but also it was hard for Lois to see Natalie and not be instantly reminded about her own Natalie.

So beating Edge and his dad was surprisingly easy. They didn't think to use the solar weapons that John made to fight aginst Superman. And basically just told Jordan to fight, and he broke the hold from Zeta-Rho very easily.

I definitely feel like they balanced having 2 super powered badass heroes very well. They didn't give Supes or Irons any more or less badassery to partake in and made you truly want for John Irons to succeed. He also has the best "oh fuck..." Face ever.

17:04 I thought the show was almost over when Superman caught John. Then I looked and there was still over 15 minutes left and I couldn't imagine why. Lol so much for a happy ending!

Season 2: Natalie will try to get rid of Clark so John and Lois can be together. If they try to create a love triangle between John, Lois and Clark where Lois develops feelings for John and gets conflicted they will completely lose me. I hope this is not the case but totally something I could see the CW doing- I hope I'm wrong, this first season has been great!!

I really can't see them doing this. I feel the creators of this show know that one of the strengths of this show is the chemistry between Clark & Lois and the whole Kent family dynamic. It would be an insane thing for the show to do as Lois & Clark are such a strong couple and have been together for a long time in this universe.

@@mco2l739 I completely agree Clark and Lois's relationship is a huge strength in the show- It's just the CW has a nasty habit of ruining good stories in spite of themselves. So far this show hasn't gone down that path and that why it's as good as it is to this point. I hope you're right- time will tell?
