Glad to see the suits brightened up from the terrible dark oily colour, and a bit of funs being injected back into the movie. Was that Hawkman or Hawkwoman we saw too fast for me to tell... My old eyes arent what they used to be... They used to be my ears. Only off putting thing for me was Luthor.. Again..? Superman needs a Super villain as in one with super powers to match in some ways his own. Never reckoned or liked Luthor as a villain when reading the comics as a kid in the 60s. The only good Luthor was the one in Smallville the actor was excellent, really made him a rounded character. But l will hope its a better grounded character this movie. The Superman Returns one was far too brutal for a movie the family should be able to watch together. If l were you l would wait until the movies released in full before putting a downer on it, l look for the good in a movie and this seems bright beautifully filmed, the actor looks like the character should. Superman should always be a beacon for hope no matter how bad the times are, miserable dark brooding is for the Batman. Superman is Super... Man.

I don't agree with many things Snyder did with the character, but this just looks way too campy. And using John Williams' score for teaser was a terrible idea. Nolan didn't use Elfman's iconic Batman score, nor did any of the subsequent Batman movies, so why it's only Superman that can't seem to move on from the 70's movie adaptation? This is just a teaser and I hope that the movie will be good, but honestly, as a taste of what's to come it didn't make me feel anything. It's more of a bunch of scenes slapped together with a 50 year old globally known score playing over it.

I used to watch these movies over and over with my dad as a kid. He was the biggest Gene Hackman fan. He also read all the original Superman comic books as a child in the 40’s. He was shook up when Reeves became paralyzed because it was almost like the actual Superman had become paralyzed. My dad suffered a massive disabling stroke 7 years ago and has never been the same man. He can't even talk or recognize me or my sister. But when we put these old movies on he remembers who I am because imagery and music unlock memories of us from the deepest parts of his mind. The brain is a wild thing. Life is crazy. Go see movies like this with your kids and crystallize these important memories forever. American cinema is one of the greatest gifts mankind has ever been given. Stuff like this brings tears to my eyes and helps me remember the good times.

Yup. I lost my dad to cancer when I was 13, and I’m 31 now. Supes was his guy, we watched all the animated shows when I was younger. I cried watching Man of Steel and while watching this, the connection I feel to my dad and my Pop Pop through Superman and DC is powerful. Movies and characters build legacy and make memories. I’m so sorry that your father suffered a stroke like that, but you have those memories, and I’m glad that those shows can unlock those memories for your dad 🥹 the brain is wild, but you are definitely right about making and crystallizing memories and that American cinema and comics make that possible 🥹 my prayers are with you my friend 🙂🥲

It also says a lot about the direction they're taking him. I used to hate Superman, and loved any media that subverted him. Then we had Injustice, The Boys, Invincible, and on and on and on, and I got so sick of evil Superman that I actually reevaluated why I liked evil Superman stories in the first place, and Superman clicked for me. While most superheroes are humans learning to be Super, Superman is Super but an alien who has to learn what it is to be human, and how to fit in. He's the perfect embodiment of hope and restraint, and he quickly rose in the ranks of my favorite Superheros and characters as a whole nearly to the top.

Snyder's Superman felt like a broken version of the character very Injustice version. Maybe would recommend watching the James Gunn movie first before reaching a conclusion

Just a trailer, so it doesn't guarantee the quality of the movie, but, gosh, I got goosebump watching it. I especially love the part he saves that little girl. What I feel superheroes missing nowadays is helping out helpless people. They're so focused on fighting bad guys, regular people became almost non-existent. Classic superman did a lot of helping distressed people and I loved it. Hopefully this movie will bring back that spirit.

That’s why everyone adored The Batman’s ending. Punching the “bad guys” wasn’t working, it wasn’t helping the city or Batman. It was only when he saw others suffering and reached out his hand he found a true purpose. Superman is the embodiment of this. He NEVER seeks a fight, he doesn’t even like raising his fists. All he wants is to be a shield to others and to help as many people as he can, whether he’s saving a cat from a tree or shielding a child from a missile. That this is the main focus of the movie, that you can hear the entire world chanting his name, it gives him a hope I’ve not felt for a movie in a long time.
