Watch all your stuff daily & love it..question and thoughts..I think "Lex is trying to make his own super hero's..hence the glass cubes/prisons and superman was in one also it looked like metamorpho or Martian man hunter was in the one next to him or another metahuman" The new DC trailer blew my mind-it felt like a full-on trip! James Gunn has given the characters depth and meaning, truly bringing them to life. This DC universe is set to outshine Marvel and finally do the characters justice.

Great segment, as ever - but you've got it all wrong with Supergirl! The domed city Supergirl's family lives in, Argo City, is flung away entire into space when Krypton explodes. The rock it is built on turns to kryptonite and the citizens save themselves from its deadly effects by paving the ground over with lead. One day, a meteor shower destroys the protective lead and before everyone dies of Kryptonite poisoning, Kara's father, Zor-el, sends her away to safety to earth. She arrives on earth YEARS after Kal-el and is much younger than him!

Kendra's Nth Metal wings are fairly recent with an in canon reason, so I'm glad she's starting out with the artificial feathered wings in the DCU like she did in the comics

David Corenswet does have naturally curly hair. I think leaning into that is a perfect choice for the “secret identity,” and I always wondered why they didn’t do the same with Henry Cavill. I also love how Clark is so big and clumsy like an ox; it’s a lot like All-Star Superman.

Do you think Superman actually is trying to save the city from the Kaiju but at the same time trying to save the Kaiju from the corporate heroes (Mister Terrific, Guy and Hawkgirl)? Maybe the Kaiju is just trying to protect its baby (the baby kaiju) and Superman sympathizes with that.

It could also just be going toe to toe with someone as strong as him. This isn’t really a dig on MoS because it led to the best scenes in the movie, but Superman should have no way to predict what getting hit by a person of equal strength to him really feels like.

You know what I think? I think Lex in this movie, is sending out probes into space, and discovers that Krypton used to have a red sun, which in this universe could possibly have been absorbed by Solaris. And maybe it follows the Lex Probe to its origins back on Earth. So in the final act, Lex would have been responsible for leading Solaris back to earth. Just a theory.

With the moment around 13:00 when Clark and Lois look at each other in the daily planet, I wouldn't be surprised if the shot of Clark is from a different part of the scene. It looks to me like Clark could be looking up at a television screen, like the ones behind Lois. And also Jimmy is in the foreground of the shot, maybe he is talking to him.

I don't know, if Lois already knew that Clark and Superman are the same person, Gunn would've said it. The way he talked about it, it feels like she doesn't. I'm guessing she and Clark have a thing going on while she's still in the dark about his side job. I think she'll learn about him earlier in the movie - or at least I wish it was like that, because I don't want to miss that part of their story.

I definitely think that Superman is depowered in the scenes where he’s in the apartment with Lois. Because if that is indeed Solaris and if Gunn takes even more inspiration from all-star Superman it would make sense that Clark would be depowered there since he is depowered when he faces Solaris in all-star. And then that’s why Lois gives him that look and hugs him at the end of the trailer. She knows he’s gonna try and face that monster despite no longer having powers and he could very easily die.

With regards of Clark and pa Kent, it could be a vision that Clark is having. It happens in smallville ( Tom welling ) Clark visions himself on the farm and Johnathan is working in the distance on a fence or a tractor. And he gives Clark advice

Well as Maxwell Lord was ultimately a villain in the comics maybe the line up for the authority is the Engineer, Guy Gardner, Mr. Terrific and Hawkgirl but Lord doesn't have to be a villain in the authority. He could show up in a future Wonder Woman movie as a villain.
