Superman United Nations Big Screen Times Square Rough Early Version

This is a very rough test shot I'm thinking of doing in the near future. Excuse the crowd quality as it's only a preview clip. However I'm toying with the idea of getting a big green sheet and get a group of people to pose in front of it with the camera behind them. So I have them looking up at the speech on the screen and towards the end of the scene having them cheering after Superman's speech.
The final version would have the banner text moving, some news article on the picture of Superman at the United Nations and the trees moving with the flag... So the photo looks more like a video... this is very rough at the moment.

I got to admit fella you impress me every time with these upgrades, I literally kept my version of superman specifically on my HDD for your updates to include. And dont worry I am a man of my word I would never release it online, I have had quite a few people wanting to see my edit but I told them I made a massive promise to you. So far the only people who seen my edit apart from myself are my wife :-)

@APRICEPRODUCTION Your work is simply art in motion. The main goal is to restore all the deleted and non-deleted scenes to create the original vision as intended by Reeve. Putting all the removed footage with plot narratives like Superman visiting his parents grave, being ill after his fight with Nuclear 2 and all the early Nuclear 1 scenes will demonstrate how a COMPLETE Superman 4 would've equalled the original film. Based on what you've done so far, a 100% film would be a major revelation? Essentially, Warner Brothers have a NEW unseen Superman film with the legendary Christopher Reeve.

I just got done reading the kids’ Point novelization by B.B. Hiller and I have to admit it was a fun read compared to watching the theatrical edit! I love that it included the entire “Nuclear Man 1” sequence at the Metro Club, as well as additional sweet moments with Lacy and Clark that really got lost in the final version. I hope you get the permission to do a new edit of this film. I love what you’ve done so far (as well as with Supergirl!) and I wish I could assist you in this project! It’s been a huge dream of mine to see this entry restored to what Christopher Reeve originally envisioned with his story. After the long road of Superman II’s “The Green Cut”, anything is possible these days! 😊

Its been announced that WBD are releasing SM IV on 4k. Do you think they will do any extra work on it other than transfer the output resolution?

I doubt they will do much in terms of work on it, I suspect it will be just upscale of what was currently released on Blu-ray...

@@APRICEPRODUCTION Clive Mantle says he's seen the original cut with his scenes which were finished and had special effects and film score. So at least we know the footage does exist! As apposed to the work print version which is of lesser quality and is unfinished! Ditto for the metro club footage which remains unreleased but the photos from the scenes we know confirm the filming of the scenes. 🦸‍♀🦹‍♂🎥🍿🎬

WB are doing a remastering of the 4K theatrical release, but the Extended Cut of Superman IV isn't planned at the moment.

@P M Ferreira There is no plans for the extended cuts at this point. Warner Home video are releasing the 4K cuts. I have spoken to someone closely, but the extended cuts are not planned any time soon :(

You' ve achieved so much on your own .This film always had great potential but was ruined by poor special effects .You really need the opportunity to produce your version of the film with the permission of Warner Bros .Already you have corrected so many visual problems that the film has .The final film by the universally accepted best Superman deserves to be repaired fully as a fitting tribute

Made a Superman 2 fanedit called Intergrade(Google for Superman II Intergrade version 3.7 or 3.5) combining the Richard Donner Cut and the theatrical version, added a few new vfx while staying true to the original, fix some awkward wirework moments, making some action scenes more impactful and was planning on a Superman IV fanedit but seems like I'll be waiting for your version of the movie instead. Incredible work especially Lacy in the sky part(was planning to do something similar a few years back but you beat me to it) and the new intro. When is the release date for this?
