The judge probably gave Bruce a VERY light sentence - 5 years in a Minimum Security Prison. A forced vacation, basically. Hell, he was probably out in two years on "good behavior" anyway, even WITH all the prison fights. Bruce probably wanted a harsher sentence, but there's not a single judge in the country who'd be willing to give him one. So once he got out, he permanently retired from being Batman. Passed the mantle onto Dick, and tried to look for other ways to help Gotham. Maybe run for mayor. Also I like to think that he FINALLY got himself some therapy, because if your guilt complex is so bad that you feel guilty about killing THE JOKER, then yeah, you might need therapy.

@@XSilver_WaterX Bruce already basically does a bunch of community service, from how mch he spends to improve Gotham as Bruce Wayne, to the good he does to keep it safe as Batman. But yah I think the judge didn't want to sentence Bruce, after all the Joker was basically an irredeemable monster, Most would forgive Bruce for murdering a man that bad, my guess is Bruce demanded to be locked up for the murder, so the judged gave him a light sentence, or the system knowing what he'd done as Batman just let him serve as short a sentence as possible, even with all the people he fought in prison, but then again most were likely thugs or villains he'd put in there, and they'd really want him dead.

While you're probably right, he would have to be a special kind of idiot to actually *want* a harsher sentence for an act that should have gotten him a medal rather than prison time. You know, in real life there is this thing called microchimerism. When a woman gets pregnant, the baby sends out stem cells to heal the mother, and the child's DNA becomes embedded in the mother's cells. It's theorised that that's one of the reasons why women look more like their husbands as they get older. Now, if you have super babies, like Lois, this might have some really funky effects. Maybe she'd become healthier, more resilient to injury, stronger? If that was case, then the logical thing for Lois and Clark to do would be to have as many babies as they could, thus improving Lois ability to protect herself and their children. Would be an interesting story line.

The dream sequence in Injustice chapter 14 actually has a little "plot hole" for the story. At the beginning of the 2013 Injustice game, Superman tells Joker that he and Lois were going to have a son. But then the prequel comic shows us that they were going to have a daughter. The thing that I don't get is that they were only going to have one child, so it has to be either a son or a daughter. And the game came first, so their child should be a son for this bit. So, Tom Taylor either must've forgotten this, or he just didn't care and decided to do his own thing.

It goes beyond just killing the Joker. Batman is a vigilante, one that's tolerated by the authorities of Gotham, but if his identity was ever outted, it would force even Jim Gordon to arrest him and probably hand him over to the FBI or any government law enforcement. The laws he has broken would have certain others in the system wanting to put him behind bars to make a name for themselves, not to mention the corrupt who would see Bruce as a threat and want to make an example of him.

There's this thing called 'suspense of disbelief' in stories, it basically means that people are supposed to just accept some things that don't make sense for the sake of allowing the plot to move forward and in that way to make the story better. It doesn't work for this story, because there's no way in hell any jury or judge would ever convict someone for killing the Joker. Ever. The joker is a lunatic terrorist mass murderer who has terrorized Gotham and the world for decades, killed millions. There is absolutely no way in hell anyone would say "oh? that guy who killed the worst criminal in the history of mankind? he needs to be locked up!" I can't believe that for a single fucking second.

Yeah. It makes no sense to justify that knowing a villain is just a serial mass killer. It's the one stupid thing about Bruce. But, it does in a way make sense that every fictional character is just as flawed as people IRL. He probably thought it should always be left it to the legal system to handle properly those he caught and had constant internal contention over the fact that it couldn't and wondering why.

I hope the officers gave Batman a “get out of jail card” he’s the one person I think deserves it.

Sort-of off topic here, but I feel like if they ever made an Injustice 3, it would be a Flashpoint, where Flash goes back in time to stop the events that kickstart the story, accidently killing the Joker in the process. Superman would have to come to terms on how low he would have fallen, Wonder Woman would have to rediscover herself, and Batman would be forced to deal with the fallout of Joker's demise.

A vigilante kills a killer who has been attacking Gotham and torturing its citizens for years Judge: “That man deserves prison!”

This is one of my favorites from injustice...and the HE-MAN crossover that was actually well thought out and in depth..celebrating both universes and just really well done ! Some...many crossovers have wishy-washy plot armor and the story suffers but not the HE-MAN vs The Injustice Superman and his regime.

The ending should of been used in the Lois and Clark TV show. The tv series was to depressing and yes stupid but this make sense . A new hero is born and even though you hear something wrong Lois is comforting her man.

The same criminal "justice" system which would sentence Joker to death can't even catch him.

This is why the Shadow is objectively the better vigilante. The Shadow would have had no second thoughts about killing the clown, a man who has a higher body count than dengay fever. If anything, Bruce should be crying about all the people that he has let the Joker kill over the years.
