Theres just a lot that isn't obvious to you initially, which makes it seem more insurmountable to learn it all. But you don't need it all, just like other games

I was curious and looked up some stuff to confirm: on the 2014 list, ESAM ranked #6 and Coney ranked #84 and they had a pretty similar gap in final placement at Apex 2014 as well. So they're attending the same tournaments and generally pretty active around the same times, it's extremely likely they played in pools some time and also likely they played some friendlies but I don't know how tight there were during Brawl. Of course eventually Coney moved more toward commentary while ESAM kept grinding top results, Sm4sh came out and they became better friends and eventually teammates so have also probably played Brawl together during the last few years :D

This was followed by a seemingly endless series of scandals and screw-ups that destroyed Niji's reputation in the EN speaking scene. Parasocial megafans are some of the few people left supporting Niji, and they've gained a reputation for ineptly attacking anyone who 'threatens' the employer of their precious idol.

@@TheJackOfFools here is the run down - Dokibird was Formerly known as Selen Tatsuki from NIJISANJI EN, but also she was streaming as Dokibird before her Nijisanji days - Selen went silent in mid december for a medical emergency, follow with a break with no reason for over a month - Out of nowhere, Selen Tatsuki was terminated for apparently breaking rules within NIJISANJI (which most people took as Nijisanji trying to paint Selen Tatsuki in a bad light) - After the termination announcement, Dokibird unprivated her twitter account to come forward about this situation (not directly). Her tweet mentioned the medical emergency was because of an attempt on her life, because of build up from working at her old workplace(aka Nijisanji) - more shit happened after this - and haters gonna hate, so they did just that TL;DR Nijisanji relationship with Selen/Dokibird is BAD. and the Niji fanboy/fangirl that follow them hate on Dokibird

The weirdest thing about these content creator events is always seeing the diversity of my watch history condensed into one tournament. Eskay from Overwatch, Slime, Joshman, Coney and ESAM from Smash, Scarra from OTV, Amaz from Hearthstone. It’s strange and amazing to see streamers that for so long looked dedicated to a single genre or game having interests outside essentially their job as “ambassadors” of their chosen fields.

To make a long story short, the Niji & Doki Drama is because Dokibird (Who was Selen Tatsuki in Niji) was bullied so much by some of her co-workers(not specified who but there are speculations) to the point of trying an attempt. She survived and left but some people still support Niji and hate Dokibird regardless. (P.S: There are a bunch of videos explaining Doki’s part of the situation and tbh Niji has wronged so many other of their Vtubers) Great video tho even if I’m so late!
